Osiris and Set were grandsons of Ra. Ra favored Osiris because he was married to Isis, who knew Ra's secret Name. This made Set angry, as he was the eldest, and Osiris was a wimp. "Ra, the crown is…Continue

The most spectacular archaeological find of the 21st century -- billions in gold and jewels uncovered in the secret sanctums of a centuries-old Indian shrine -- will soon be revealed to the public.

Last summer, archaeologists opened the underground chambers of the 16th century Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple, located in Kerala province in southern India. They discovered six chambers, labeling the vaults A through F, with the help of temple priests. What they found was startling, according to initial reports24hGold - A billion-dollar treasure hunt in Hindu temple to be revealed: Sacks of diamonds and gold, coins dating back hundreds of years, crowns and other antique jewelry, precious gemstones wrapped in silk, and so on.

Vault B, which is guarded by serpents according to local legend, has yet to be opened. But those sepulchers that have been explored do contain gold statues, gems and other items valued anywhere from a few billion to as much as $40 billion.

I wish I could speak half as well as I write here. I love your questions. they help me think more, draw more out that I knew, but didn't know that i knew, if you understand:) My life is actually very boring. I get up, go to work, come home, cook dinner, go to sleep. crammed in there too is kids, husband, dogs, garden. some days also cram in pool( summer) or gym(year-round, at least 3 days a week). I read a little, chant a little. I have to be passionate or I'd go insane. Kirtan/dancing/yoga empowers me, clears my head, brings up the bliss that otherwise isn't there. It makes it interesting. It connects. It refreshes. It renews. And i can go back to boring old me because Somewhere Out There Krishna loves me:) sometimes, I feel really old, and cynical. But then, you get really involved in a dance, or a kirtan, or an asana, and you forget yourself, and "BOOM" there's Krishna. It doesn't happen often, but when it does.... WOW!!!! The Egyptians also had sacred musicians and dancers. Everything for God. How can you live any other way?

My respectful obeisances to Tricia and BGD prabhus. They are ultra-intelligent liberated souls, now acting as Bodhisattvas for all humanity.
I am much impressed with what you two have said. I did not know that the Egyptians, or whatever they actually called themselves back then, were in essence much like any other Vedic civilization in most ways. Amazing ! HK !
Tricia, I am especially intrigued with the living passion you bring to your spiritual life. I admire this quallity very much. You can write in such a way as to move women and men's hearts, because you yourself have heart. I also believe strongly in the power of love and ecstasy, and righteousness in the face of adversity. Thank you. More, please. >; ) HK

Yes, exactly! Some of it is their own words, but the understanding of those words is very modern. We see their depictions of things they thought were important. We have some ceremonies written down, but the most sacred were not. Early on, i did not see them as very similar. it is only as I have been learning more about Vedic rituals, that i see it. The Egyptian priests started out with a ritual bathin the temple pool. They had food offerings. They had lamp offerings. they had incense offerings. They clothed and dressed the deities, and put them to bed, and paraded them through streets and on the river.... They both see God as personal and infinite. They both have a belief in the sacred power of sound. I am pursuing spiritual life through the Vedas because they celebrate life and living and Earth and animals and plants and rocks..... The Vedas allow you to feel, WANT you to feel, WANT you to experience God in a personal way. No middle man needed. The Vedas tell us God incarnates to bring us to Him. This whole universe and other universes are ALL PARTS OF GOD!!!!! In Christianity, Creation is NOT divine, merely created by God for us his worshippers, who were so foul he had to kill His son and sprinkle his son's blood to redeem us. Only by committing ritual cannibalism on His son's flesh can we become pure and redeemed. I just don't see it, frankly. The Vedic thought that we saw the universe and wanted to be here, frankly, seems more logical. But, like any child, we grow tired of our visit, and want to go home. I love this world, and all its life. But i'm tired, and i want to go HOME. Home is Krishna, the blue god with the come-hither eyes and magic flute, Krishna who also loves this world and all its life. Krishna who incarnates repeatedly to make SURE we can get home, when we are ready.... The Vedas to me are LIFE.
