Female nature is to enjoy being attractive to and seen as beautiful by the male she seeks to control and enjoy. The gopis were pleased to think Krsna is attracted to their beauty. As no woman may appear naked before any but their husband, thus Krsna confirms his marriage, (a parakiya bhava nonetheless).
p 156 Krsna speaks to His close friends, and addresses them, "Stokakrsna, Subala, Varuthapa, and Bhadrasena!". I have mentioned elsewhere such, as on our front page over a year and a half ago, and to Utthama sloka, and Tripurari Swami et al, that I believe Srila Prabhupada is Sriman Bhadrasena Prabhu. (?)
Remember that these ladies are Krsna's wives. The pastime of being unmarried is yoga maya's arrangements. These are all Krsna's eternal wives.
These pastimes are not to be discussed amongst non devotees! In fact, it is questionable as to how much discussion is appropriate amongst devotees also.
