UPDATE: Busted: Popular Vitamin/Mineral Supplement Loaded with Aluminum, Fluoride and Phosphates!

(Before It's News)

UPDATE: To be clear, I had no idea what the toxicological results would be before having the testing done (how could I of?) and I OBVIOUSLY wanted the results to be conclusively in Youngevity’s favor. I had taken their products for years, got my son and parents on it as well as many friends! Needless to say we have all stopped.

I always assumed, as I am sure many of you have, that Youngevity tested their products before putting them on the market and that they did regular “quality control” inspections to keep their products up to standards.

Had the tests come back negative, i.e. no heavy metals or other toxins, the title of this post would have read “Rest assured, independant lab tests prove Youngevity’s BTT 2.0 is clean” or something to that effect.

It was so expensive to do all this testing (over $800) that I was planning to post the results one way or the other, but I never expected the results we found.

I know that this information is a shock (it was to me), but would you have prefered I keep the results to myself? Don’t you think you have a right to know what’s in what you are taking? Personnally I was very shaken and distraught when I first got the results. I called the lab techs immediately.

The testers assured me that the results were correct, as they always do multiple testing, especially when they get high contaminant values, as in this case. They even had to do the fluoride testing separately to measure it correctly (at an added expense to me).

Don’t be mad at me, I am but the messenger. I never said BTT 2.0 does not contain all the good stuff they claim it does, although I am not so confident now.

If attacking me legally or otherwise for telling the truth will make BTT 2.0 a better product, so be it. But perhaps Youngevity should rather put their energies into eliminating the contaminants from their products, if they can.

—————–

I had taken Youngevity’s Beyond Tangey Tangerine 2.0 (BTT 2.0) daily ever since it was introduced last year and had taken the Original BTT long before that. Several months ago I had BTT 2.0 tested by an independant Swiss laboratory and it was found to be “unfit for human consumption“.

Believe me, I thought long and hard before submitting the following results.

I thought about taking legal action or threatening to expose them if they did not refund me for all the years I took their poison. But my conscience told me it was more important to warn people…

The choice is yours…take it or not…but at least now you can make an intelligent choice!

Like many of you, I believed Dr Joel Wallach, and Alex Jones, when they said that Youngevity was a leader in the field of nutrition and that their Beyond Tangy Tangerine was a superior product, second to none. I was convinced that I was doing my body good…

It was only after I read claims on the Internet that BTT was loaded with heavy metals that I decided to find out for myself…after all, my wife and I had been taking BTT daily for several years already and I wanted to know once and for all if the rumors were true.

So a few months ago I sent a sample of BTT 2.0 ( 2 scoops in 8oz distilled H20) to an independent Swiss laboratory for toxicological analysis and the results are in…

Beyond Tangy Tangerine 2.0 is “contaminated “

Youngevity, with full knowledge (I’m assuming they test their own products before putting them on the market and that they do regular “quality control” inspections to keep their products up to standards), sold this toxic and contaminated product to unsuspecting and gullible people seeking to improve their health with the help of Alex Jones.

BTT 2.0 contains high levels of Aluminum, Fluoride and Phosphates…and more.

There is NO EXCUSE that Youngevity could possibly offer in their defense that would make any difference at this point. The damage is done.

Here I was, along with thousands of other gullible stooges trying to get healthy and avoid all sorts of toxins! Little did we know that by taking this poison daily, we were stocking up on aluminum, fluoride and phosphate waste!

BTT 2.0 is Youngevity’s flagship product…if it is so contaminated, one can only imagine what their other products might contain if they do not do regular “quality control” inspections!

Take it at your own risk!

Here are the test results:

ALUMINUM

Each serving (2 scoops) of Beyond Tangy Tangerine 2.0 is loaded with:

27 times the maximum limit of Aluminum
set by the World Health Organization!

5.4 mg/l instead of 0.2 mg/l max allowed.

Aluminum is an extremely toxic heavy metal and is responsible for numerous neuro-degenerative illnesses such as Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s.

Both Alex Jones and Dr Joel Wallach are well aware of this.

The testers note that this product is: “contaminated” and “not fit for human consumption“!

“la denrée est considérée comme souillée”

“la denrée est jugée impropre à l’alimentation humaine”

“How much aluminum is safe in drinking water?”

“The World Health Organization has recommended that aluminum levels in community water supplies should not exceed 0.2 mg/L. This is the same level allowed in bottled water which is regulated by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. In January 2011, Wisconsin adopted a standard of 0.2 mg/L for aluminum levels in groundwater. Water that contains more than 0.2 mg aluminum per liter should not be used for drinking water or to prepare beverages or infant formula. It is safe to use this water for other purposes such as bathing, showering, food preparation, and household chores.”

FLUORIDE

Fluoride has been shown to reduce fertility, damage bones, and reduce IQ.

The amount of Fluoride in each serving (2 scoops) of Beyond Tangy Tangerine 2.0 is obscene!
1.4 mg/l

that’s more Fluoride than is added to the water supply through fluoridation.
Intentionally Fluoridated water only contains 1.2 mg/l !!!

In fact, as reported by NaturalNews.com, the CDC recently reduced the fluoridation levels of the public water supply to 0.7 mg/l … that’s HALF the amount found in BTT 2.0!!

“CDC adjusts fluoride poisoning of America’s water supply to a lower level”

“(NaturalNews) The U.S. Centers for Disease Control (CDC) today issued a startling report that admits 2 in 5 children in America show signs of fluoride poisoning (streaking, spotting or pitting of teeth due to dental fluorosis). The agency concluded that fluoride levels need to be lowered in municipal water supplies, reducing fluoride to 0.7 milligrams per liter (the previous recommended upper limit was 1.2 milligrams per liter).”

“This ends over five decades of the U.S. government recommending up to 1.2 milligrams of fluoride in every liter of water. But even the new lower levels are still more than enough to cause serious harm to children, and when mothers make infant formula using fluoridated tap water, they inadvertently poison their infants with hundreds of times the level of fluoride that would normally be found in healthy human breast milk.”

Phosphate, Nitrates and Chloride

Each serving (2 scoops) of Beyond Tangy Tangerine 2.0 contains:

- 59 mg/l of Phosphate…that’s 118 times the legal limit of Phosphate!!!

Readings higher than 0.3 mg/l of phosphates indicate pollution from fertilizer, sewage, industrial waste or detergents.

- 164 mg/l of Chloride… when it should contain less than 20 mg/l !!

- 32 mg/l of Nitrates… although the legal limit is 40 mg/l, it should not contain more than 10mg/l!

It’s a fricken “HEALTH DRINK” for cryin’ out loud!

Methemoglobinemia (Blue baby syndrome) has been reported where water contains more than 10 mg/l of NO3-N“

- It also contains large amounts of Sulfates and Bromides!

“Clean water has low phosphates, usually between 0.01 and 0.03 mg/l.

Readings higher than 0.3 mg/l of phosphates indicate pollution from fertilizer, sewage, industrial waste or detergents.

Wastewater contains 5 to 30 mg/l phosphate.”

“Drinking water must be  less than 0.5 mg/l phosphate according to federal law.” …BTT contains 59 mg/l!!!!!

59 mg/l of phosphate waste in BTT 2.0

 IS OUTRAGEOUS!!!

While we are at it

Don’t buy ProPur’s water filtration system either!

Buy only Big Berkey or ZEN Water filtration systems!

Check out test results done by Mike Adams of naturalnews.com:

Big Berkey beats ProPur gravity water filter for removal of heavy metals and toxic elements

Unfortunately I bought the first generation ProPur system, the one that Alex Jones swore was the “best out there” based on his “extensive research”.

Well, the taste was so vile that I ordered replacement filters within several weeks and they sent me the newest generation 2.0 filters which were a slight improvement.

As you will see in the following comparison, the original ProPur filters pushed by Alex Jones had the worst rating of any of the filters tested and the new generation 2.0 filter is barely an improvement.

Below is a graph showing a comparison of the various filters tested and their effectiveness for various toxic elements.

The Dark Purple line at the top is the Big Burkey filter. Notice it filters just about 100% of everything you throw at it. ZEN is not far behind!

The Red line represents the original ProPur filter. Notice it filters NO Aluminium (Al), NO Strontium (Sr), NO Lead (Pb), and very little of anything else. The only thing it removed completely was Mercury (Hg)…but they ALL pretty much did.

The Pink line repesents the NEW ProPur 2.0 system. Notice it is better, but FAR from acceptable and certainly no where near as effective as the Big Berkey system!

From the Natural News article:

“In these tests, the Big Berkey water filter vastly out-performed ProPur across all elements. For example, while the ProPur water filter only removed 20.2% of cesium, the Big Berkey removed 98.6%.

In our tests, arsenic removal by the ProPur “All-in-One” filter was 61.6%, while the Big Berkey filter removed 100%.

One of the interesting results from our tests is that ProPur’s standard filters which have been sold for years performed relatively poorly in these tests.

In fairness to ProPur, we actually delayed the release of these results until we could acquire their new “All-in-One” filter elements and test those. The new “All-in-One” filter elements were significantly more effective than ProPur’s standard filters, but were still not nearly as effective as the Big Berkey filters that we tested.”

If you are like me and aready spent a lot of money on your ProPur system, all is not lost. All you need to do is replace your ProPur filters with the Big Berkey filters. No need to buy a whole new housing and faucet etc… They fit perfectly. Just make sure to get the right size filters for the unit you own.
