Mans' inhumanity to man knows no limits. And people have either short memories, or there is a collective "block" or a process of conscious forgetfulness that characterises the average human psyche. Or maybe, we are so used to witnessing acts of brutality and violence, that most are just numbed to the awful realities of the world as it is today.

A short couple of years ago, in the tiny state of Rwanda, over a million people were literally hacked to death, executed and murdered, just for being members of a different ethnic group. Does anyone remember that? A MILLION people.

Yep, all I wanna say is....
Be honest, do you really think anyone really cares about a few people who were beheaded in Libya?

A horrible and shocking set of videos, but sometimes such are needed to cause an awakening.

Surely we can all do better than what we have seen ! The Vedas say that humanity begins when an enquiry is made into the Absolute Truth. Beings who do not actually realize that they are not the body, but spirit, eternal and meant for relationship in loving devotion with Godhead, can end up coming to violent odds with others over mundane matters, sometimes of no real spiritual consequence. But somtimes, over mundane issues, essential freedoms are lost, and that includes the frreedom to practice ones faith etc.

There are true servants of Godhead and hence each other, and there are wannabe masters who deny any responsibility to a God, and so act according to fulfill their own selfish whims..

Sometimes we are black African men, sometimes we are blue, sometimes are are dogs, and sometimes we are demigods. The body changes, but the soul remains the same.

This simple knowledge can relieve the bodily-oreinted illusions that lead to such fighting. When one realizes we are all eternal spirits, then idenfitying with one race or gender and fighting the others over nothing is understood to be sinful and degrading. Humans should realize the spiritual purpose of things, and cease abusing others.

As lightworkers, witches, practitioners of divine sciences, etc we can ask ourselves whether any of our activities are directly or indirectly supporting people who hate and kill innocents unneccessarily, then make every necessary manoever to withdraw such support and instead push on ideas and persons who have a trascendental loving vision.

Do we not sometimes also have to fight against oppressors? Is that not a type of mercy to protect innocents? Because certain liars pretend to be the good guys, yet act like poisonous thugs, does that mean that all martial persons are corrupt and should not be engaged. I suggest that pacifism is sometimes cowardism, that the struggle against this evil is righteous and right.

The Hare Krishna movement is for pushing the transcendental idea of devtional service, and thus to stop abuses of all kinds. By chanitng Hare Krsna maha mantra everywhere fearlessly, we hope to promote peaceful understanding and cooperation amongst all the Supreme Godhead's servitors, and especially to spread the mercy of Lord Caitanya such that the embodied conditioned souls can gain a positive spiritual alternative.

Thanks to Zeponith for the service of providing encouragment, good association, and helpful revelations.

    In response to Hari,

Firstly I would like to commend Hari for his truly wise words on this topic.

What most people don't seem to understand is that sometimes, we have the obligation to stand up for our rights, on the physical and other planes of existence. This necessarily means that there will be a degree of conflict if the oppressor or the one(s) who persist in their victimizations are not prepared to compromise or admit they are fundamentally wrong as regards a particular issue or other.

The adage of "turn the other cheek", in my own personal experience, just doesn't work. What happens invariably, is that the other cheek gets kicked in if there is no self-defence.

It is strength and not weakness to fight for your rights, and cowardice when we sit and look while one's family is brutalized.

I do apologize if my input causes anyone any discomfort, but , well, if hardly anyone else cares, then I know it is the right thing to expose the ones who are clearly in the wrong, even if it takes a stiff dose of reality to awaken others to what is going on .

Too many spiritual individuals are living in a bubble in my humble opinion, and conciously block out anything which may prick that bubble.

Ignorance is blind, and Reality bites - how we choose to deal with that is totally up to ourselves, of course. The root of all the troubles in the world of today, is unbalanced spirituality in the form of controlling and discriminating forms of religion. Everything starts from within, and just look at what is without in many places around the world. The fruit of a tree, indicates the intrinsic value of the tree itself, and the proof is indeed in the pudding as far as the medieval religions are concerned.

I refuse to stand by and allow the basic injustices to continue without lifting a finger to help my spiritual brothers and sisters who are being victimized and oppressed as we speak. We are One, and so an injury to one is an injury to all.

Yes, some Witches also respect what individuals from other paths have to say!
