“Disunity between individual souls is so strong within this material world that even in a society of Krsna consciousness; members sometimes appear disunited due to their having different opinions and leaning toward material things.
Actually, in Krsna consciousness there cannot be two opinions. There is only one goal: to serve Krsna to one's best ability. If there is some disagreement over service, such disagreement is to be taken as spiritual. Those who are actually engaged in the service of the Supreme Personality of Godhead cannot be disunited in any circumstance.” SB 4.30.8
And a woman spoke, saying, "Tell us of Pain." And he said: Your pain is the breaking of the shell that encloses your understanding. Even as the stone of the fruit must break, that its heart may stand in the sun, so must you know pain. And could you keep your heart in wonder at the daily miracles of your life, your pain would not seem less wondrous than your joy; And you would accept the seasons of your heart, even as you have always accepted the seasons that pass over your fields. And you would watch with serenity through the winters of your grief. Much of your pain is self-chosen. It is the bitter potion by which the physician within you heals your sick self. Therefore trust the physician, and drink his remedy in silence and tranquillity: For his hand, though heavy and hard, is guided by the tender hand of the Unseen, And the cup he brings, though it burn your lips, has been fashioned of the clay which the Potter has moistened with His own sacred tears." " Happiness and distress arise and depart like the winter and summer seasons. One must learn how to tolerate them without being disturbed. "
This is the standard preaching in regards happiness and distress. but the happiness and distress of the devotees is not material, their pains and pleasures are real, and have significance and value, being connected to the lotus feet of Sri Krishna our Godhead.
For the heartful devotee, the rasa of being in this realm and preaching on Srila Prabhupada's behalf is the rarest of precious gems. We all feel elevated to hear the lovely poetry of such Vaisnavas. Thank you, Rasa devi!
