Pamho, Agtsp !
Many of these so called gurus and fanatical followers are reincarnations from the Gaudiya Math !They couldn't follow Bhaktisiddhanta's instructions either, and now they are continuing with their antics and shinnanagins.
Just remember the words of the Bhagavad gita if and when you feel frustrated;
manushyānām sahasreshu
kaścid yatati siddhaye
yatatām api siddhānām
kaścin mām vetti tattvatah
Out of many thousands among men, one may endeavor for perfection, and of those who have achieved perfection, hardly one knows Me in truth.

Real Krishna consciousness is very rare, and masquerading with a shaved head and tilak and a big seat-- does not a devotee make
No one can understand Krishna as He is by the blunt material senses. But He reveals Himself to the devotees, being pleased with them for their transcendental loving service unto Him.
Bhakti-rasāmrita-sindhu 1.2.234
You have to please Krishna
and how do you do that ? by following the orders of the guru --- the parampara. Thats how we plug into the spiritual force.
Whatever show of followers and buildings that is all extraneous.
The movement is alive and well here in SPI--
We dont need a building and the site fees and maintenance of an internet site aren't too much to bear.
So we're imperfect thats ok....
We understand what the real order from Srila Prabhupada means.
Krishna had a headache and needed the dust of the feet of the devotees to cure it.
Everyone was afraid of going to hell except for the GOPIS.
Don't be afraid of going to hell,
the only hell is seperation from Krishna.
"I know no one but Krsna as my Lord, and He shall remain so even if He handles me roughly in His embrace or makes me brokenhearted by not being present before me. He is completely free to do anything and everything, for He is always my worshipful Lord unconditionally."
Lord Caitanya Mahaprabhu taught, "O Lord! Whether You trample me under Your feet or embrace me or leave me brokenhearted by not being present before me, that does not matter. You are completely free to do anything, for You are my worshipable Lord unconditionally."
That is love. We should think, "God may do whatever He likes, yet I will still love Him. I don't want anything in exchange." That is the sort of love Krsna wants.
