Studies in moral development show that, consistently in human cultures, only a small minority achieve a level of self-directed moral and behavioral choices. Only a few break the conditionning and brainwash and make choices based upon internalized ideas of what is right and wrong; ie they become independent selves.

The establishment figures detest anything which enables individuality, such as open clothing choices, alternative music, drugs and shamansim, alternative diets and religiosity etc. ie anything which does not cater to the "norms" set by the would-be controllers. Modern mass capitalistic culture thrives on orderly work and consumption. Exceptions threaten the profitability picture, and so are not allowed. Thus, a free person is a danger to the brainwashing state.

The majority always support the authorities. They are on a level of moral development in which accepting social contracts and laws is paramount to their idea of right and wrong and social order and good. They can be easily steered by creating sets of normal acceptable behaviors and enforcing them. Thus, human culture is almost incapable of breaking out of a socially controlling normative system.

It takes revolutionaries to stir and redirect the energy of the masses, but even then, only that small number who are mentally free to choose are capable of changing. That is supposed to be the brahmanas redirecting.

  • Relative truth vs Absolute truth :
The manifested cosmic creation appears as reality. But reality, of which this is but a shadow, is in the spiritual world. Absolute Truth is in the spiritual sky, not the material sky. In the material sky everything is relative truth. That is to say, one truth depends on something else. This cosmic creation results from interaction of the three modes of nature, and the temporary manifestations are so created as to present an illusion of reality to the bewildered mind of the conditioned soul, who appears in so many species of life, including the higher demigods, like Brahma, Indra, Candra, and so on. In actuality, there is no reality in the manifested world. There appears to be reality, however, because of the true reality which exists in the spiritual world, where the Personality of Godhead eternally exists with His transcendental paraphernalia.
