natural time warps, by I. Professor blogsite

Is time travel possible? Based on evidence, it would seem that it is for creatures and artifacts are swallowed up by time regularly and then spit back out again in some of the most bizarre places. If natural time warps exist, then artificial warps can be created. Documented cases of things, creatureseven humanscaught in time have been compiled, duly logged and then studiously ignored. That's a mistake as such incidents may be the basis of a whole new physics that can lift us to the level of the gods and make the universe our playground.

Things out of place, out of time

Many strangeeven impossiblethings have been dug up, tripped over, or stumbled upon by workmen digging deep into the earth uncovering secrets Man was never meant to know.

It's estimated that more than 847 billion tons of coal exists in the United States alone. Some of that coal harbors fantastic secretsvery odd things indeed. Things scooped up and trapped in time.

Many impossible things have been found in lumps of coal

Countless records, archives, tales, exist. The following are just a few samples of many

Dateline: 1844, Rutherford, Scotland. Quarrymen caused an uproar in a small Scottish village while working in a stone pit near the Tweed River.

Eight feet below the surfacein a layer of ancient, solid rockthe men found a length of manufactured gold thread. None had ever seen anything like it and a professor at the University of Edinburgh speculated it might have been dropped by a wandering Roman Centurian during Rome's occupation of the British Isles.

How it became encased in solid rock, however, even the learned professor had not a clue.

Again in Scotland, at another quarry in Kingoodie a year later, workmen discovered yet another unexplainable oddity: a nail embedded into a stone block. The nail itself appeared completely normal, except that it h

ad taken 20 years of concerted digging to reach the depth where it was found.

No one has any idea how old it is or how it came to be there.

The mysterious 100,000 year old bell artifact

The scene: Dorchester, Massachusetts, in 1851. A rock quarry. According to a report in Scientific American at the time, men blasting and drilling split a rock wall open and two halves of a strange bell-like object fell from it.

The bell stood four and a half inches tall and was crafted from an unknown material, inlayed with silver floral patterns.

The rock in the quarry was said to be at least 100,000 years old. The bell matches no known artwork of any researched culture on Earth.

The very next year, 1852, across the Atlantic in Scotland again, a lump of coal from a mine was discovered with a machined drill bit inside. The bit was made of hardened iron and was completely embedded within the coal.

When the lump was broken open, revealing the surprise inside, a perfect impression of the drill bit was imprinted around the artifact as precise as a mold.

The coal, many millions of years old, had formed around the bit.

Remains of Treasure City near the old Abbey Mine

Jumping ahead to 1869, a very odd two-inch metal alloy screw was found by miners inside a piece of feldspar at least 20 million years old. The screw, discovered in the Abbey Mine in Treasure City, Nevada, had long ago oxidized, but was easily seen through the translucent mineral. It was sent for study to researchers in San Francisco that never said another word about it.

And then, in 1927 workmen discovered an impossible fossil: the distinct imprint of a machine-made leather shoe. The fossil, found in a layer of limestone located in Pershing County, Nevada, was dated as having been made during the Triassic Period somewhere between 180 to 220 million years in the past.

More shocking still, examination of the bizarre fossil revealed that the sole was finely stitched to the rest of the shoe with a thread finer and tougher than the ones that existed in 1927.

According to several accounts, during 1936 a Max Hahn and his wife Emma were out walking one day when they happened upon a very odd stone. It had a piece of wood sticking out from it.

The incredible 500 million year old hammer

As it was approaching darkness, the couple took the stone back home and cracked it open with tools in Hahn's workshop.

What they found seemed to be a very old hammer with part of its handle intact.

Archaeologists were consulted as the Hahn's thought what they found might have some value.

To their amazement, the tests showed the rock to be about 400 million years old, but the hammer was even older. According to the scientists the ancient hammer was at least 500 million years old.

Futher tests revealed that the wooden handle was becoming coal and the hammer head was composed of more than 95 percent iron—purer than anything nature could have "manufactured" on its own.

Could bubbles in time trap objects, even living things?

Creatures of the damned

Living creatures encased in solid rock millions of years old. Impossible? Of course. Yet case after case of just such a thing has been discovered for many hundreds of years. Authorities and experts are at a loss to explain such things and the evidence invariably ends up buried againthis time in the dusty corner of a dimly lit, musty museum basement in a jar on a forgotten shelf.

Miners like these have dug up many impossible things

Brief summary of time trapped animals found in a state of suspended animation:

One of the earliest documented cases of animals trapped in a time bubble comes from late 16th Century France. Dr. Ambroise Parea personal physician to King Henry III of France (who was also king of Poland and the Grand Duke of Lithuania), watched with wonder as a huge toad he described as "full of life" emerged from a rough boulder just spit in two by workmen.

The account of the incident survived because Pare had the incident transcribed into his personal journals.

A fossilized newt came back to life in 1818

A fossil hunting geologist in 1818, exploring an old English quarry, was at a depth of 270 feet when he accidentally discovered a group of fossilized newts. After carefully digging them from the rock, he put them on a flattened piece of parchment exposed to the sun.

To his amazement, after just a few minutes, some of the tiny newts began to twist and writhe about. Several died within minutes, but one later placed in a pond swam away and seemed fine.

19th Century engraving of miners working

When a spar of brittle flint was cracked open a live toad plopped out and fell to the ground. Within seconds it began breathing, twitched, and then began jumping away from the group of surprised workmen that inadvertantly set it free.

The toad was captured, though, and sent from where it was foundBlois, Franceto the Society of Sciences in Paris. There, some of the most educated men of 1851 poked, prodded and pinched the creature, but had no answers.

A “toad stone” from Mundus Subterraneus (1665 edn.) vol. 2, p. 51.

Their observations, however, are instructive. According to their notes, they discovered the toad preferred a dark or dimly lit environment. It would remain quiescent when dark, but become agitated by light and attempt to flee.

They also remarked that the animal would crawl back into the hole it had emerged from in the flintalmost as if it was seeking emotional comfort in the safety of the womb-like cavity where it had been entombed for who knows how many ages.

The scientists also noted that the toad fit into the flint's cavity (from which it had emerged) and that the cavity formed a perfect mold around the animal. Incredibly, the toad even had a visible indentation in its jawline matching a tiny ledge inside the flint spar where the toad rested its head.

Imagine the workmen's surprise in Derby, England when they found a living toad inside a crystalized lump of heavy ore culled from the earth. The toad, discovered in 1852, was trapped inside the ore found 12-feet underground. Within a few hours after its release, the toad died.

A living, horned lizard discovered inside a solid block of stone amazed two New Mexico Territory doctors in 1853. They sent the lizard to zoologists at the Smithsonian Institute. According to their research, the animal refused to eat or drink anything and died after several days.

Toad found inside a rock geode was still alive

During 1865, more astonishment awaited hard-working Durham, England excavators of a gritty limestone pit when they happened upon a living toad encased in a large shard of solid magnesian limestone. The stone was retrieved from 25 feet down.

According to witnesses, the cavity containing the toad was like a bubble, slightly larger than the creature's body. Almost as soon as the limestone was broken open, the creature came fully to life, was highly animated and energetic.

The men who found the impossible toad reported its eyes had a strange shine, or brilliance, had abnormally long hind legs, and made odd barking sounds.

Scientists at a local college guessed its age as at least 6,000 years old. It was likely much, much older than that.

Photo of amazing toad Clarke found in fireplace coal

According to researcher Charles Fort, a Mr. Clarke who lived in Rugby, England, was simply stoking the fireplace in 1900 when one of the pieces of coal split open. Out hopped a perfectly fine toad.

Clarke snatched it up and studied it. Incredibly, the animal had no mouth and appeared transclucent.

The remarkable creature lived for almost four weeks.

Gardens of the gods

Perhaps the most stunning creature ever to emerge from a time trap was the monster that emerged from a new railway tunnel near St. Dizier, France during 1856.

A work gang had just enlarged a tunnel farther into the side of a mountain when a gigantic boulder careened from the roof of the excavation and rolled several feet before splitting apart. What emerged was nightmarish.

The workers thought a demon from hell had been unleashed. The horrendous thing unfolded huge wings, took a few feeble steps forward, and then collapsed and died.

The following day, the demonic creature was bundled up and taken by cart to Gray, a nearby city. There, a university palaeontologist identified the "demon" as a member of the genus Pterodactylusa Pterodactyl.

Of course, it couldn't becould it? Pterodactyls lived during the late Jurassic Period about 150 million years before workmen were digging a train tunnel through a French mountainside.

Further investigation revealed the creature's wings were 10 feet, seven inches from tip to tip. It also had four legs joined by a leathery membrane. It's long beak had teeth and its eyes were sunken and heavy-lidded. Its color was a mottled gray-brown-green.

Finally, like the incidents with the much smaller toads, the huge bolder that had encased the prehistoric creature contained a perfect mold of it when its wings were folded up against its body.

Where the creature's remains are now, French authorities aren't saying.

How did three rhinoceros end up in an English cavern?

Impossible animals found in impossible places are not always alive. Take the case of very high strangeness surrounding the discovery made deep inside a winding cavern almost 70 feet below ground. Just outside Plymouth, England, early in the 19th Century, explorers happened upon a most curious find: three fully grown, perfectly fossilized rhinoceros tightly tucked against each other against a rocky wall.

The cavern where the fossilized remains were discovered was smallno more than 15 feet high by 45 feet wideand the narrow passage leading to the subterranean cavern was barely big enough for the bulky animals to make their way into the depths.

Even the environment of the cavern was strange. The air was dry and brittle, the walls cool and smooth, and no stalagmites or stalactites graced the inner sanctumodd because other caves in the area all had such geological structures.

Further investigation determined that the cavern itself seemed like it had once been hermetically sealedbut by whom and for what purpose? And how did three adult rhinoceros end their lives in a tiny English cavern thousands of miles from Africa?

It's an enigma that may never be solved.

Human tooth purported to be 10 million years old

The 10 million-year-old human tooth and an impossible civilization

Animals, nails and odd bells are not the only things found entombed in coalbeds, rock quarries and the sides of mountains. Human remains that are simply impossible have also been discovered, much to the chagrin of orthodox scientists.

In 1926, a lump of coal containing a human tooth was discovered in Bearcreek, Montana by miners. The coalbedestimated to be about 10 million years oldwas new and the coal with the tooth was discovered during the mining operation.

Analysis proved it to be a human tooth, but the tooth was so ancient the enamel had carbonized and the roots oxydized into iron over the millennia.

A human tooth that's 10 million years old flies in the face of all anthropological theories. But it's mild when compared to what was discovered in the pit of a limestone quarry in Aix-en-Provence, France, back in 1787.

There, workers had dug down about 50 feet when they reached a layer of sand. Within the sand they found the remains of pillar bases, cut and half-polished stones, petrified wood in the shape of tool handles and a very large wooden platform.

Years later, the limestone formation was verified to be in the neighborhood of 300 million years oldat least 298 million years before Mankind's ancestors supposedly first walked the Earth.

A particular incident that adds weight to the theory of time traps is the case of the 1976 Texas crew that were tasked to break up concrete they had layed over a year earlier.

As the concrete was broken up and hauled away, they found a live turtle inside the concrete. An air pocket that matched the configurations of the reptile's body surrounded the animal.

Despite the fact that no cracks or holes were in the concrete, the turtle was alive. It could not have been trapped as the concrete set and lived off the small amount of air in the bubble.

It must have been snatched by time and italong with the air immediately surrounding the creature—was deposited inside solid concrete. There it stayed, literally suspended in time, until the workmen released it from the time trap.
