I always thought it was about the psychedelic shamanical magickal path of advancement, as opposed to the straighter ways of God consciousness. We are advised to be a rock and not to roll.
Glad you like the post...the song was also written late 70 early 71.... coincidently (if there was such a thing) "My Sweet lord" was no1 in the UK early 71....also Robert Plant was married to a Indian lady

Such lovely soul stirring words are surely not fully maya, but rather can be used as an aspect of self realization. We are to accept all things favorable, yes? So if such musics or any other musics actually inspire the devotee to a spiritual vantage point, how can it be said to be wrong to listen? Ultimately, we aspire a mood like Srila Prabhupada, yet we are individuals and there will thus be varieties unlimited.
Such music played a large part in my own path-seeking, and lead me to surrender to Krishna, or to want to anyway. Many young devotees are heavily into all types of musics and videos, so if we have some here, and it encourages the devotees, than please bring more !
