Whilst attending Lord Balaramas  celebrations, at the Murwiillumbah Temple, Australia, I spoke with a senior devotee, who's wonderful service included taking photographs while traveling with Srila Prabhupada.

Amoga Das, a lovely, soft, wise devotee.

Upon meeting, he asked how I was.

The only appropriate answer available to me being,

"I survived."

We just looked at each other, I  could not think of any thing else to say.

So many wounded soldiers, too many casualties.

Somehow, we had both survived, after so many years.

Around 30 years since our last meeting.

The years go by. and one can get a little battered and bruised on life's path.

"At least we were there to talk about it."

After all, its a daily battle, moment by moment, breath by breath, the mind is a fickle thing.

Can we rest peacefully, knowing other devotee's may feel abandoned and left struggling in separation?

It is our duty to assist all others, including plants and animals, especially our God-brothers and God sisters, being as we are, Srila Prabhupada's  sons and daughters.

Thank you for reading .

A story about Srila Prabhupada.

An elder Devotee in Australia,  once, in a discussion with Srila Prabhupada, said "Now that we are Vaishnava's"'.

It was clear on Srila Prabhupada's face that he did not like the sacred word Vaishnava taken so lightly.

His Grace and Eloquence, Srila Prabhupada, turned to him and said,

"You are not even a Vaisnava's boot lace".
