Or even when the playful Lord Jagannätha stood still as His pastime, His closest devotees gave themselves to His intimate mood, amazed at His greatness anddelighted in love. BB, 2.1.203
Sanatana Gosvami's commentary:
In the private company of the Orissan pujaris, Lord Jagannätha would sometimes talk and engage in various personal exchanges. But even when Heremained motionless and silent on the altar, those most intimate devotees stillhad very special relationships with Him.
The Lord is not a lifeless log; He onlypretends to be like that. Every chance He gets, He indulges in all sorts of sportsand tricks with His devotees. Thepujariswere astonished to see how LordJagannätha at one moment acts like a naughty child and the next poses as animmobile Deity.
But rather than become morose when Jagannätha was notactive and speaking to them, thepujariswere happy to go along with whateverpastime the Lord was playing at the moment, be it active or passive.
pamho prabhus agtACBSP,very nice article thank you ,LORD JAGANATH is nicely connected also with the most merciful channa avatara SRI CAITANYA MAHAPRABHU,it's says in the sastra that SRI JBS are very merciful with people who are not able to follow all the rule and regulations of k.c but got strong faith and bhakti in service, like the pujari of SRI JAGANATH temple in puri, there is a story about this matter once SRILA MADVACHARYA want to kick out the pujaris of SRI JAGANATH temple in puri ksetra but he got kicked out by the foot of LORD JAGANATH who send him 300 miles away from the temple then told him to leave everything as it is with the pujaris of the temple because I'M happy with their bhakti even if they are not able to follow all the principles of spirituality,i still have the video of SRILA PRABHUPADA in the first ratha yatra in u.s.a HE was not touch even the ground when HE was dancing HE was flying in the blissful ocean of mercy through the special attention of CAKA DOLA the big round eyes of LORD JAGANATH and when HDG ACBSP was speak out HE was looking all the time timeless 20 years young all the time the same and this is the level called VASUDEVA,it can be achieve spontaneously in krsna consciousness without any external endeavour by focus all the thoughts in the vani seva of our guru maharaj all life long because the blessing of LORD JBS ARE so great when THEY happily goes out by watching everyone ,THEY feel separation from THEIR tadiyanam samarcanam also to remind us that we are property of SRI SRI RADHA KRSNA waiting to join with SRI GIRI GOVARDHAN the perfect selfless mood service in k.c, in fact the last desire of our beloved acharya were to do the parikrama of SRI GOVARDHAN a such great paramahamsa , we are glad to be disciples of a exalted brahma nistham saktya avesha avatara as HDG ACBSP,thank you for your sat-sanga and blessing agtys ys a.c seva das haribol

pamho tamohara prabhu agtACBSP,thank you prabhu for posting this wonderful pictures with the cakra of the SRI JAGANATH TEMPLE which is good as good as to take darshan just by paying respect to the cakra on the top of the temple ,still nowadays is not allowed to go in to take darshan for people born out of the hindu varnasrama dharma, once a devotee make up the colour of the body to go inside to take darshan of SRI JBS and when they suspected by feeling the vibrations of the stranger they beat him up very badily and kick him out,i saw one of them once with the stick outside the gate of the temple and i didn't go there anymore, they keep a vrija basi for the raja bhoga offering etc.. that's part of the rules to worship LORD CAKA DOLA JAGANATH,we do not know nothing what we know is to become free as much as we can by making spiritual wealth in the paravyoma the spiritual sky because the journey is eternal but the yantrarudhani mayaya this material body delivered by the agency of maya devi is temporary therefore everyone should hurry up to get the mercy of SRI JAGANATH BALADEVA SUBHADRA before become too late, i mean our first business is to chant the hare krsna maha mantra constantly verbaly mentally because that's also the most important activity in our daily sadhana bhakti to make our krsna smarana stronger,we can call any demigod but nobody come to rescue us at the time of death but anyanas cintayanto mam whoever focus all the thoughts in the transcendental form of SRI SYAMA-SUNDARAM never lose the mercy of LORD JAGANATH because he know that just one person is able to deliver us at the time of leaving this body machine make by gunas and karma and that's: LORD JAGANATH, that's why SRILA PRABHUPADA spread the annual ratha yatra around all over the world to help our kalo sudra society to be transfer to urdhvam gacchanti sattva stha in goodness by getting the blessing of SRI JBS then it will become more easy to chant hare krsna because SRI SRI GURU GAURANGA sent us this special blessing of SRI CAKA DOLA by the mercy of HDG ACBSP, HIS loulyam kalatvam spiritual greediness to see every corner of this planet to know LORD JBS is a symptom of prem puman artho mahan of someone who got the perfection of the only destination for the journey destinated for this material body, thank you for your sat-sanga and blessing agtys ys a.c seva das haribol
Tdasa, 1998, Harihara deva Mandira, Bhubaneswara dhama.
BHUBANESWAR, ORISSA (SUN) — A long time ago, when Srila Goura Govinda Swami Maharaj was present, ISKCON Bhubaneswar had occupied a piece of Land at Viraja ksetra, or Jajpur town. From that time nobody has taken enough interest to start something there. A few days back some interested local devotees came to Bhubaneswar ISKCON temple and met Temple President H.G. Dhruba Maharaj das and H.H. Gourav Narayan Swami to express their intense desire to start some preaching activities in Viraja Kshetra by using that occupied land as a base.
One Odiya devotee, H.G. Krishna das, who had already stayed many years in ISKCON Bhubaneswar after that at ISKCON Mayapur, and recently staying at ISKCON Mumbai (Juhu), has taken lot of interest and effort to build a small temple with preaching activities.
Importance of Varaha Kshetra
1. SHRI CHAITANYA MAHAPRABHU stayed here for a day or two and offered worship to Lord Varaha on His way to Puri, in the first decade of 16th century.
2. Jajpur is very close to Kapilesvara, the birthplace of Lord Caitanya Mahaprabhu's grandfather. It is the place from where His grandfather's family had moved to west Bengal.
3. Lord Sri Krishna Caitanya's Lotus footprint, made by the melting of stone at Varaha Kshetra, is inside Varaha temple.
4. Jagannath Temple on the bank of Vaitarani River.
5. Four Varaha Deva: Yajna Varaha, Sveta Varaha, Lakshmi Varaha and Padma Varaha deva. In Satya-yuga Varahadev appeared here, who killed the demon Hiranyakhya. In other kalpas also different Varahadev appeared here, and because of that this place is called Varaha Kshetra.
6. One of the four most holy places (Char Dhams) in the religious tradition of Vaishnavism or Hinduism is located in Odisha. According to the tradition, Lord Vishnu after killing the demon Gayasura (at Gaya city of Modern Bihar), to commemorate the glory of His victory, placed his Sankha (Conch) in Puri, Chakra (Disc) in Bhubaneswar, Gada (Mace) in Jajpur and Padma (Lotus) in Konark. They were later known as Sankha Kshetra, Chakra Kshetra, Gada Kshetra and Padma Kshetra respectively in spiritual and religious tradition.
7. Dasawasamedha Ghat: Combination of all 64 holy places' water is present in Baitarani River. Whoever takes bath in this ghat gets Vaikuntha liberation with four-armed form. The well known Dasaswasamedha Ghat built by the Soma Vansi King, Jajati Keshari, where the great Aswamedha Yajna was performed during the 10th centurystill exists under the piles of sand. Seven form of Durga Devi (Suvadra Maharani or Yogamaya, known as seven sister, resides on this ghat.
8. Viraja Temple where the deity Viraja Devi (the goddess of Viraja River, the consciousness) is Yogamaya herself, who stays in Jajpur. Orissa has two kshetras one is Shri Kshetra Puri where the Supreme Personality of Godhead stays. Another is this Viraja Kshetra where Yogamaya (Virraja Devi), the supreme potency of Lord Jagannath stays, so it is complete dham.
9. According to the Linga Purana, Viraja originated from the sacrificial altar where Brahma made a yajna at Jaipur. Brahmakunda of Jajpur is believed to be the site of yajna. Since then, Viraja kshetra was famous all over India and it is believed that seven generations of ancestors get salvation when one visits the pitha of mother Viraja. There are another 68 subsidiary tirthas at Jajpur to heighten the glory of Viraja.
Any devotee interested to visit or help the new Namahatta centre at Varaha Kshetra please contact Krishna das. E-mail: daskrsnadas@yahoo.co.in.
HARE KRISHNA
Thank you very much
Yours in the service of Srila Prabhupada, Krishna das
Imagine if; we devotees pooled our residences, once our families are grown and children gone, such that we have variety of centres for our travelling vanaprastha sankirtan party to visit and stay for a period of months to a year at a time. Imagine that when we pass on, hopefully to Mayapura in the sky, that we leave said properties, in the cases where the chlidren are not in need, to this our SPI society. Thus, we have established ourselves worldwide in an ongoing basis.
For example, land and construction in Hungary is currently most inexpensive compared to the rest of Europe. Visas are such that if one owns a house or cottage, it is as if one is a citizen, can come and go easily from there, an it is only 550$ plane fare to India from there return. Rasa devi and I will be in Hungary, and when the time is right, hope to acquire a nice gardenning fruit bearing piece of land , and construct a series of small cabins, with a central building with kitchen and hall etc at the centre. The cabins could be purchased by devotees interested at lowest prices, and having gotten such, one can then come and go from Hungary no problems. If one owns even a small bhajan kutir-style cabin, inexpensive, about $7000. only, then one is treated like a citizen there in terms of coming and going and staying in the country. Cost of living there is reasonable, one third of Western Europe. Fruit trees grow in many places, and lake front properties are many. Otherwise, no visa required for 90 days stay extendable. Land there in the mountains near water is relatively easy to acquire and the cost is one third that of Western Europe. In time, I may be able to myself purchase and do the necessary there. Anyway, more on that later. None of this has to be done overnight, but sometime before we die hopefully! lol Then, when we pass on, there is the ongoing ashrama complete to be passed on to the society's successors, and in this way, we gradually expand all over the planet with ashramas and associations. In future years, these ashrams are places to stay for free, as Srila Prabhupada's temples were arranged also in his time in the seventies
Similarly, our friend AC Seva has expressed interest in Puri Dhama ,and I very much also. Say for example we consider a five hundred square kilometer area in Orissa. Say we find the largest small village, go there, and build for $2000. one extra-large hut with a large meeting area, kitchen Deity room, a covered courtyard, as it were. Let us say ten kilometers down the road is another small village. We build a duplicate hut there. Etc, such that we have say ten such huts/temples. Then, we go from duplicate hut to duplicate hut and do sankirtan and deliver prasad. Ideally, enough rice-growing land would also be purchased, a custodian put in charge locally of overseeing that land, and the rice used to feed prasadam and get enough income to maintain the minimal needs of the village hut-temples. Local brahmacaries of Bhubaneswara Temple would also likely be easily coaxed into spending a few months, and in this way, our sankirtana party can circulate spending a week at each hut and holding programs there before proceeding to the next one of the circuit. In this way, without spending much money on huge structures, we can spread across all of rural Orissan India eventually. Such a program gives us reason to acquire a full ten year visa as religious workers. Othwrwise, there will be Hungary to go recover health, eat, work in the garden, go kayaking, study and chant and rest in one's little cabin and share prasad and mangala artik with the others there. Such a base could be useful for an all- Europe sankirtana party.
So far, these are the serious propositions before us. This program can possibly be expanded to include Canada and Costa Rica, as we have serious friends and possibilities there also. Suvarna Manjari has rather dropped out of site, so New Zealand has gone down under, pardon the poor joke.
So Canakya Pandita advises not to spread knowledge of details of such plans lest it be spoiled, but this is only a rough outline meant to inform our dear Godbrothers and sisters of the current state of devotional service planning of our home site, Spirit net society. My regret is that this body is not 30 years younger, as the plan sounds most excellent and doable, but will i have time? I am feeling good enthusiasm for the project.
As a non profit incorporation, it may be possible to use this status to acquire interests from others to maintain the Indian rural program in the name of upliftment and food relief and educational programs. Any experts out there with experience with solicitation programs?
So please, we need cooperation from those interested and to do this, not merely plan or talk. It is gradual though, there is no mad rush, but rather a steady working towards the goal. We are already started the Hungary and India missions in a real way, and by Lord Jagannatha's mercy, it will be done.
We pray to Srila Prabhupada that he will be pleased with such a program and to ask Lord Krsna to extend His protections and mercies to us in this endeavor to spread the sankirtan movement in a solid sort of way, entirely by His mercy.
Lord Siva Sits in meditation. Notice the dindin drum, japa mala beads for chanting Hare Krsna, trident, and beggar's waterpot. He has the moon in his hair, on account of his son Gonesh Mahajana, and the celestial Ganges is falling from the place where Lord Vishnu's toe punctured the universal covering to allow Ganga Mata to flow down, to purify us all. Siva is considered the one strongest enough to break her descent, and also he wished the dust of the foot of Sri Vamanadeva Vishnu to be carried forever onto his head via the Ganga.
Below, Simha Dvara gate, Lion Gate, to the Holy Ksetra Dhama Temple of Lord Jagganatha. Nowadays, one can apporach the gatekeepers, who will bring you wonderful sanctifed food, called prasadam, cooked at the temple, remnants of Lord Jagannatha's offerings. The Vaisnava temple boasts one of the world's largest kitchens cooking Vedic-style vegetarian preparations. Theres a library across the road, where one can sit and eat on the roof and gaze at the Temple.
Below, an artist's conch shell depicting the sacred Sanhka Ksetra, of whihc Lord Jagannatha resides. Nowadays also know as Jagannatha Puri and Purusottama ksetra specifically. Lord Siva is also there, and also nearby he resides in ancient Lokanatha mandira. He protects the holy dhamas of the Vaisnavas.
All these places are extremely powerful holy places, known as dhamas, pronounced dom, famous throughout the three worlds.
