Hummous Spicing; Chop up 1/2 an onion, and fry on moderate heat, for five minutes, in 2 Tblspn. olive oil. Add garlic powder, black pepper, oregano, paprika, basil, red salt (salt); about a 1/2 tsp of each. Add a 2 Tbslp. butter or ghee. Set aside, don't burn it.
In a nice serving dish, put one layer of hummous, ( a can, such as can be had cheap at the Dollar Store, is fine! ), then on top pour some of the fried onion mix, then another thick layer of hummous, for three or four layers in all, then top it all off with what is left of the fried onion plus two or three good shots of red pepper sauce. optional.
Now, using a large spoon, just swirl that whole bowl mix around gently, once around the bowl, serve. See pic.
Serve with home made bread or corn chips.
