Perfect Dinner Rice

Perfect Dinner Rice; Wash 1 1/2 cups thoroughly, three times. Use long grain rice. Drain very well. Then, Fry in 2 tablespoons of ghee or butter for about two minutes, medium heat. Add about 1/2 tspn red salt, and enough water until the rice is covered with one/half inch of water above the riceline below in the pot.. Bring to a boil, medium heat,, let cook for 3 or four minutes, then put the lid on and turn off the heat. Do not stir. After five minutes, add2 tablespoons more water, turn heat up high, put lid on. When you see some good steam coming around the lid, turn off the heat. Wait eight minutes. Then it's done. When you check the cooked rice, when it has totally abosrbed all the water and is kinda dry, really, trun it over gently with a fork, add some butter or ghee, Serve with salt, sauces, or vahl with veggies and offer to God / Govinda.
