Were these the Deities uncovered when the pujari Janani vasa or his brother, had a dream of them being buried during Muslim times, and then the devotees went there, and there They were when they dug? These are truly ecstatic Deities, I will definitely try to visit there!
Jagannath Baladeva Temple in Mayapur is filled with many histories of many wonderful pastimes of devotees. Instantly I remember one pastime when duties of this temple were handed over to ISKCON in the beginning. The temple is situated a few km from ISKCON Mayapur. That time, one nice devotee used to come daily and offer food to the deities by cycle. After a couple of days however, because the land documents were not finalized, ISKCON authorities asked the devotee to refrain from offering food or going to the temple. Accordingly the devotee obliged and did not go the next day, but that night in his dream he saw the deities walking away from the temple. In his dream he asked them why they were leaving, and they replied that because they were not being supplied nice food, and because they heard in ISKCON they were serving nice prasadam, they were walking to ISKCON. Immediately from the next day, offerings to the deities was resumed!
