Actually I had very little association with Srila Gour Govinda Maharaja. The two things I first noticed and continued to notice about him was how humble he was. He projected no sense of pride or thought that he was superior to anyone--not even his disciples. But he was always roaring like a lion on the vyasasana. Also, he was always quite obviously deeply absorbed in something other than his immediate surroundings. My first thought was that it must be Krishna. Subsequently, I understood more and more that it was indeed Krishna.
Please, other disciples of Gour Govinda Swami, please add more stories and anecdotes. We are begging. I can write them up for you if you just supply the flavor and the main events.
