Bhaktivinoda Thakura: Sri Krishna-samhita:
"The provisional character of scriptural texts is evident, but the authors of the scriptures do not explicitly indicate this because those qualified to discard the scriptural bindings naturally become independent of scripture with the help of the hidden indications of the scriptural authors and also by their own purified knowledge.
Such persons carry on sinless activities with the help of their own intellect as well as by the advice of the scriptures. In that stage the scriptures do not have any binding power over them, but only serve as their guides.
On the other hand, those who are unable to understand their own spiritual path for want of self-evident knowledge may not be able to ascertain their duties and so may fall into misery due to sensuality; for such people the scriptural rules are imperative.
Such persons should not know that there is any way for them apart from the bindings of the scriptures. When they become authorized due

WE DO NOT FOLLOW NOR READ BUDDHIST NOR CHRISTIAN IDEAS, SAYS PRABHUPADA !!
"Regarding your question about Lord Jesus Christ, we accept him as saktyavesa avatara. Lord Buddha is in the same category also. Lord Buddha is mentioned specifically in Srimad-Bhagavatam as incarnation of Godhead, and yet Vaisnavas do not accept his philosophy, which is classified as atheism. Similarly, even if we accept Lord Jesus Christ as saktyavesa avatara., it doesn't mean that we have to accept his philosophy. But we have all respects for him without fail.
Regarding books like Aquarian Gospel or even the Testiments, we cannot accept them as authorities because sometimes it is learnt that the words are not actually spoken by Christ, but they are so set up by the devotees. For example, in the Ten Commandments it is clearly stated "Thou shalt not kill", but some Bishop in Boston has changed it to "Thou shalt do no murder". This means the Bishop wants to keep hold for animal slaughter. So don't bother ab
VERY RELEVANT TESTIMONY FROM CYAVANA SWAMI
On September 6, 2017, Nityananda das received an email reply to questions he had put to Cyavana Swami, a very early Srila Prabhupada disciple who manages a preaching and gardening facility in Williston, Florida called Camp Garuda. The reply was:
“Yes, I have stated this many times.....some understand it, but most don't and it usually causes some to become agitated. Most devotees never really understood who Srila Prabhupada is. The initiation means to begin on the path of Bhakti, each one must figure out how to take that first step. Srila Prabhupada made it perfectly clear to me that we are not his only disciples. His instruction was,"I have given you everything, don't change anything... I will have millions of disciples." These are the most important instructions Srila Prabhupada ever gave us for the future of his Movement.
“In my discussions with Prabhupada the subject of adding to and changing the books and philos
Srila Prabhupada said "You must take diksha!" He travelled the world doing dikshas. He appointed ritivks to do dikshas. He said dont change anything. All our acaryas did dikshas, but you have no process yourself being unqualified, so you say not necessary to take diksha. You are making this nonsense up. (to VADIRAJ) .
The bhakti train runs on two rails; bhagavata dharma and pancaratriki vaidhi, ie pure spirit life, and formal rules etc. for us in this world and culture. You are wrecking our train with this nonsense! Brahmanas are to guide, and they are all duly initiated, not just "read some books."
FIRST INITIATION IS DIKSHA - SRILA PRABHUPADA OUR DIKSHA GURU
My dear Satsvarupa Maharaja,
Please accept my humble obeisances at your feet. I have been instructed by His Divine Grace Srila Prabhupada to reply your letter dated July 25th, 1977.
Srila Prabhupada explained the difference between first and second initiation as follows: “Why do you believe in rumors, that first initiat
June 12, 2019, Mrs Kay Wilson of Sheffield, England, mother of Radha dasi, formally took diksha with fire sacrifice in the beauty of a forest grove, as brahmana disciple of HDG A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Srila Prabhupada, having served his mission and disciples with energy and loyalty for several decades. We are honored to accept Srimati, Sri Krsna Kirtana Dasi as our dear Godsister eternally ! Maa took both first and gayatri dikshas.
Nitai Gauranga! Jaya Srila Prabhupada, Jaya Sri Krsna Kirtana Dasi !
I was asked recently about love and the role of love in the life of the devotee. Sadly this word is abused. In modern culture people often speak of "loving" a film, "loving" a food, or what have you. New Age types like to talk about "universal love". However, few know what love really is. Love is not simply an emotion. Emotions are subject to the material nature and often ebb and flow with whatever emotional state one finds themselves in at the moment. Thus we see marriages end because one of the partners isn't "in love" anymore. Love becomes nothing more than an emotional high.
True love is a firm resolve to serve Krsna. Thus love is bhakti. We cannot love anyone else until and unless we first love God, the true Source of real love. Love for others is predicated upon love of God and arises out of love of God. When we love God, we are really seeking God's highest good and pleasure. This in turn brings about our highest good, and then we can reach out to others, helping them in their pu
On the tenth day of the waxing moon of Padmanabha (Asvina) month, occurs Vijayotsava. On this day Lord Ramacandra heard from Hanuman beneath the sami tree that he had found and seen Sita on the Island kingdom of Lanka. Hearing this, Ramacandra held a festival, and then set out for Sri Lanka. On this day one may perform special puja of Lord Ramacandra and then in His honour feed the Vaisnavas. This is a popular festival in north India, where, on this occasion, large paper effigies of the demon Ravana are burned to the resounding chants of Victory to Rama, Victory to Rama.
In the pastimes of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu he absorbed Himself in the transcendental lila of Lord Ramacandra in the following manner as recorded by Srila Krishna dasa Kaviraj Goswami.
Sri Chaitanya Charitamrita Madhya-lila Chapter 15 Texts 31-35.

Tdasa -1 Lol ! Here at spi, we consider ourselves simply the modern followers of HDG A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupad, as he taught and set the perfect examples. There is no such thing as "ritvik philosophy", per se, as we are simply following Prabhupada's philosophy.
Srila Prabhupada ;
" From now on unless I order you do something change or in addition, go on with the usual standard way. "
"Kṛṣṇa consciousness does not mean one-sided. Kṛṣṇa as all-pervading, the Kṛṣṇa consciousness movement also should be all-pervading. It should touch everything, even politics, sociology, everything, if required. That is the aim. Because Kṛṣṇa’s mission is: yadā yadā hi dharmasya glānir bhavati bhārata [Bg. 4.7], paritrāṇāya sādhūnāṁ vināśāya ca duṣkṛtām [Bg. 4.8]."
"Make your own field... and continue to be Ritvik... and act on my behalf." - Śrīla Prabhupāda: July 31, 1977.
"Certainly association with devotees is essential. However, we attain association according to our qualification. It
Imagine if you will, a snow-flake-like round lotus mandala. At the center, all points are visible as extension from the essential core. The flower is One, yet it has distinctive petals. Now, transmorphing our simile; Srila Prabhupada as the center of a lotus-mandala representing the philosophical and practical positions and applications of all the devotees worldwide who have taken up the service of Si Krsna Caitanya Mahapabhu's mission, in all their glorious diversity.
Let us stretch a little further; Imagine a world-wide set of temples of Srila Prabhupada's ISKCON, in which happy brahmanas study and elaborate on the teachings of our pure and powerful Brahma Madhva Gaudiya Vaisnava sampradaya, setting a global standard of excellence. The priests daily perform initiations, a baptism of fire, into the cult of eternal service to the perfect Masters, as revealed by the unquestionably perfectfully empowered universal Gurudeva, Srila Prabhupada. These scholarly devotees are fully conversa

Śrī Rādhāṣṭamī, The Day of Her Advent
by Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Ṭhākura Prabhupāda

The following discourse was delivered by Jagad-guru Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Ṭhākura Prabhupāda in the Sārasvata assembly hall of Śrī Gauḍīya Maṭha, on Śrī Rādhāṣṭamī evening, September 19, 1931

There is one person whose name is never mentioned in Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam. And yet Bhāgavatam’s steadfast readers constantly nurture the ardent hope of becoming that person’s devout, one-pointed servant. May that person, who means everything to Śrī Bhagavān, kindly destroy our false ego in all its various forms and bestow upon us the shelter of Her lotus feet.
Today is the day of Her advent.
That personification of grand benevolence, having collected all varieties of graces from Śrī Bhagavān to bestow as gifts upon all beings, is eternally the foremost of the benevolent. May She descend within our hearts and make Her appearance there, and may Her advent be the concern of our worship.
