Thus, our sleep in maya is relative, and although experienced, the souls never leave Krsna. In eternal time, all time phases exist in full, here and now, eternally. The Self is part of that.

The question of does the soul fall from Vaikuntha is thus both yes, and never.

Nonetheless, the Self has debased itself, displayed the independence in a haughty or over-brave manner, skating on thin ice out of a mood, learning suffering, but showing also the bad possibilities and sometimes becoming a horrid monster. This is an eternal occurrance, it happened, but like a bad dream, in light of eternity, it is nothing. .But until we reattain our nonenvious mentality, then it is a dire situation and a grave embarrassment to the Self to have gone naked and drunk down the streets."
