i want to tell you about my "faith". i am white american male. i served in us army in afghanistan. after i converted to islam. then i realized my faith, was part hindu, part sikk, part buddhist part sufi. i think of myself loosely as a sufi. but i am much more than those words.
i have greatest respect for the Sufis, they are just like we Krsna bhaktas of the Gaudiya sampradaya or branch.
yes, free thinking is spiritual, religiosity is merely practice and control
yes! Alhamduli'lah!
You are leading a most interesting life of a spiritual warrior
(picture placed of tamohara dasa in hospital uniform, Security Forces Hospital, Riyadh, 1998)

Tdasa;
sorry to hear that happened , it must have bee trying. i hope your health is good and you are happy in your prayers
i found that emphasizing that which is in common brings people together around spiritual talks
in Arabai, i preached the value of chanting Allah's names on beads, as we also do only hare krsna
everyone respects the power of the Names of godhead!
my family has military roots, but not me, just healthcare and hare krsna movement

i feel your soul......so i will share something special. a truth. watch this 1hr video, and understand it is 99 truths to sell you 1 lie. the lie is brief so it is still a good tool. the lie is a man named drunvelo melkezidic. he is mentioned breifly in the video but ignore that. the rest is spiritual goldmine. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2CsedWlIntQ
Tdasa;
will chek out the references and get back. here is my home web site, by the way... https://puredevoteeseva.ning.com/

i still meditate on the 99 names of 'allah' and my montra is astagfurullah, and "break your ego, you dont need it"
love it!
ok, yes, Vedic culture and history goes back also millions of years...

ah cha! Very mystical, my friend. Therein lies peace, indeed...
then we are one, but i am yewt doing this task of trying to free society and myself, so there is unlimited work to be done...

Rābiʻa al-ʻAdawiyya al-Qaysiyya (Arabic: رابعة العدوية القيسية) or simply Rābiʻa al-Basrī (Arabic: رابعة البصري) (717–801 C.E.) was a female Muslim Sufi saint who is highly regarded and has been conferred the status of Half-Qalander. One day, she was seen running through the streets of Basra carrying a torch in one hand and a bucket of water in the other. When asked what she was doing, she said,"I want to put out the fires of Hell, and burn down the rewards of Paradise. They block the way to God. I do not want to worship from fear of punishment or for the promise of reward, but simply for the love of God." She prayed: "O God! If I worship You for fear of Hell, burn me in Hell, and if I worship You in hope of Paradise, exclude me from Paradise. But if I worship You for Your Own behalf, don't withhold from me Your everlasting Beauty.”
Tdasa; Wonderful story!
ours is acinya bheda abheda tattva, ie that we are all one, yet we retain identity
acintya
even in liberation, there is a snese of the servant and the served, of male female, God and jiva soul, and so there is a dance.
exactly!!!!!!
you are a liberated soul, i can hear this

islam can be ugly...appreciate its uglyness as a form of beauty if it is a balance to good in this perception. value everyhting as a necessary part of our creation. there is no bad and good, but still right and wrong. wo right! but contently love and respect wrong
that is a peaceful conclusion! ~(>,' )
i am learning to live with the fact that all is confused down here, but underlying all this is god, so there is peace at last.
lol! you are also sensitive, and wise!
im dancing this hard line because my godbrothers are too soft... thats a fact

TIME is our restraint here. nothing has happened BEFORE.....nothing will happen tomorrow or in the future. it all is and has been and will be. shed the constraints of TIME. they are a shackle of this perception only!
Tdasa;
fools sometimes need a kick in the pants is my current way of thinking...
yes, good point
but am i ready for transcendence, or is my duty to stay at a lower platform for the sake of differentiating right and wrong for helping the innocents?
i feel the same

but am i ready for transcendence, or is my duty to stay at a lower platform for the sake of differentiating right and wrong for helping the innocents?...WOW...you really do understand!
Tdasa;
