B. Radha Govinda Swami on Itsacon Co. Impersonal Advertising of Rathayatra, 2013

I'm sending this flyer one devotee sent to me (along with this devotee's comments).

My shock was to see that there is no picture or mention of Srila Prabhupada in the flyer (unless I'm just not seeing properly).

Don't ISKCON Rathayatra flyers have a picture and/or some mention of Srila Prabhupada on them; "ISKCON Founder-Acarya His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada"?

Unless I'm seeing improperly, this one says NOTHING, gives NO MENTION about Srila Prabhupada.

Unfortunately (?) I've heard there is very little manpower at the Houston temple...probably the reason they have to join hands with the local Hindu temple...And no mention of Srila Prabhupada? That's becoming the standard, isn't it? Srila Prabhupada has been removed from his temples.

If the GBC didn't destroy ISKCON, they probably would be having enough manpower (devotees) that they wouldn't have to "join hands" with the local Hindu temple, so I suppose it "serves them right' that they do NOT have enough devotees to be the "manpower."

Personally I have "no problem" with their "joining hands" with the Hindu temple to have a Rathayatra. What I DO have a problem with is their SYSTEMATIC AND PURPOSEFUL REMOVAL of Srila Prabhupada from HIS temples.

Yes, removing Srila Prabhupada is "becoming" or already IS the standard...

I HOPE you can HELP BOTH Kamra and Jvalamukhi prabhus to see MORE AND MORE of what's REALLY what; HOW DEEP!!! this INSIDIOUS and DEADLY disease goes.

Please don't get me wrong: I'm not hating these GBC/guru and other ISKCON people, but am (INTENSELY) hating what they have done and are still doing, on ALL the levels they are doing...

Agreed, Prabhu, 100%. Yes, it is a big temple (I've heard), building size. They have $ to do a big restaurant (and maybe a new, bigger temple?)...but very little manpower!

Mukhya was lauding the "preaching achievements" of ISKCON these days so I asked if she'd been to Detroit, Brooklyn or Boston lately and noticed the complete ABSENCE of devotees.

 

Srila Prabhupada's mission is surely shrinking in terms of temple/organizational involvement.
