Founder-acarya, not Latest-acarya;
Srila Prabhupada once remarked to Bhagavata Prabhu that Krsna personally dictated the purports of his books, and that he liked to read his own purports therefore. More than one devotee has been told this in private, late at night, as Srila Prabhupada was up doing his writing and dictating. We can take everything that was recorded, and the things Srila Prabhupada wanted us to do, as directly His Krsna's will. The Hare Krsna Movement,I dare say, is a somewhat seperate religion / entity than the other Gaudiyas etc., hence founder-acarya, not latest-co-acarya. This is a most important point. pamho Anyone care to discuss?
Andrew Whitlock Prabhu added;
On July 28, 1970, when Srila Prabhupada established a Governing Body Commission to manage ISKCON, he formally identified his relationship with his mission:
“International Society for Krishna Consciousness Incorporated Founder-Acharya: His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada”
On July 22, 1974, Srila Prabhupada approved a GBC amendment to his earlier management document, reasserting his supreme position in ISKCON.
“It is declared that His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada is the Founder-Acharya of (ISKCON) International Society for Krishna Consciousness. He is the supreme authority in all matters of the society. His position cannot be occupied by anyone else, and his name and title must appear on all documents, letterheads, publications, and buildings of the Society.”
