What the Maha-mantra is NOT;
HAPPY HAPPY JOY JOY! Like the Ren and Stimpy cartoon; suggestive that if one simply repeats the mindless intonation over and over, one kind of brainwashes oneself and gets relief from stress... the maha mantra is NOT LIKE THAT AT ALL.
The reasoning is that in the Absolute Kingdom, the name of some person and that person are the same, unlike the material world, where the self is lost and the temporary body only is named, for a while. In the spiritual world, there are no relative or referring truths. We are what we are, our name and our self are not different.
The Hare Krsna Maha-mantra is composed of Names of Godhead. When one associates with the Supreme Purifier, all things become clean and revealed.
