Faith in Raksasa Leader or Srila Prabhupada?

Nov 08, 2012 — QUEENS, NEW YORK (SUN) — The devotees today are certainly different than in Srila Prabhupada's time. There is so much sentimentality and liberalism amongst this generation of devotees. In particular I am addressing the support for Barack Hussein Obama by so many devotees. He receives so much love and adoration from many ISKCON devotees and many voted for him this past election. Does anyone read Srila Prabhupada's books anymore?
Srila Prabhupada said he was trying to train up first class men, because at the current time society is being led by the fourth class man. The fourth class man has no spiritual qualification. He is one who eats meat, takes intoxication, gambles and is a woman hunter. Barack Obama may not be a woman hunter being that he is a married man, but he certainly eats meat and is a cigarette smoker and does drink alcohol.
A first class man, an ideal brahmin is known for his honesty. One just needs to look at Barack Obama's 2008 campaign promises and it is obvious he did the exact opposite of what he said he would do, even when it was fully within his power to do so such as ending the wars, closing Guantanamo, putting an end to torture of detainees and resigning the Patriot Act, which he said he would not do because it was unconstitutional but went ahead and resigned it anyway.
As devotees we are supposed to be compassionate and empathetic to the suffering of other living beings and that is one of the main reasons we preach, to give this rare jewel of Krishna Consciousness because we are all suffering. A true Vaishnava cannot bear to see the suffering of another living entity. How can so many who call themselves devotees vote for such a despicable character as Barack Obama and connect themselves to that karma? On his order drones wreak havoc by bombing and killing innocent civilians, including women and children in Pakistan, Afghanistan and Yemen. One only needs to Google this and you can see for yourself pictures of horrifically mutilated bodies of children. Have devotees become so desensitized that they can just disregard these horrible actions or simply ignore them?
We don't eat meat because it causes so much suffering to animals, yet devotees will celebrate and glorify such a demonic politician who orders drone attacks that regularly kill children. Maybe these devotees need to start reading Srila Prabhupada's books, which he labored so hard to write for the benefit of humanity. Here is one verse that comes to mind:
Srimad Bhagavatam 5.14.16:
"Government men are always like carnivorous demons called Rakshasas [man-eaters]. Sometimes these government men turn against the conditioned soul and take away all his accumulated wealth. Being bereft of his life's reserved wealth, the conditioned soul loses all enthusiasm. Indeed, it is as though he loses his life."
One can also see that Barack Obama is all about the redistribution of wealth. Under his watch unemployment has grown tremendously and homelessness has increased in an unprecedented way. There are more on welfare and food stamps than ever before. Many have lost their businesses and have severely suffered a decrease in their income, yet there are bailouts for the corporations and the rich continue to get richer. Why do these devotees adore such a rakshasha? He is the first President in history to assassinate an American citizen living in Yemen via drone attack -- as a matter of fact, two American citizens. The first was a New Mexico born Muslim cleric, Anwar Awlaki. Among the slain was also Abdel-Rahman Awlaki, Anwar's 16-year-old son, one of his cousins, Ahmed Abdelrahman Awlaki, and several of their friends, who were all teenage boys. To make matters even more ridiculous, Barack Obama went on Dave Letterman's Late Night show and bragged about killing Anwar Awlaki. What kind of man is this?
According to the Vedic teachings and what Srila Prabhupada has taught us, this man is a rakshasha. On December 31, 2011, New Year's Eve, while karmi America was partying, Barack Obama signed the NDAA (National Defense Authorization Act). One section of this act declares the whole world a battlefield and gives the President authority to indefinitely detain American citizens without due process and assassinate them merely on the suspicion of being a terrorist. Some other Governments that have had or still have indefinite detention are Hitler's Germany, Stalin's Russia, Red China and North Korea, just to name a few. What is being done here in the good ole USA is laying the ground work for a Communist dictatorship.
Why would any decent devotee with the least bit of intelligence and knowledge of Srila Prabhupada's teachings support such a rakshasha? How many devotees suffered persecution and were detained in labor camps in communist Russia? How long will it be before Srila Prabhupada's teachings and books are labeled as extremist material? Demons always oppose the Krishna consciousness movement. Eventually we will have World Government and it will be ruled by rakshashas… the same rakshashas Obama is in league with and the ones he takes his orders from. This is not conspiracy theory, this is the realty of things. Do a little research on your own.
Let's hear what Srila Prabhupada has to say about this. He was certainly not a crackpot conspiracy theorist, he was a Maha-bhagavat, a direct emissary from the spiritual world.
Srimad Bhagavatam 10.3.21 Purport:
"The Hare Krishna movement is also an incarnation of Krsna in the form of the holy name. Every one of us who is actually afraid of asuric rulers and politicians must welcome this incarnation of (Maha mantra) Then we will surely be protected from the harassment from asuric rulers. At the present moment these rulers are so powerful that by hook or by crook they capture the highest posts in government and harass countless numbers of people on the plea of national security or some emergency."
Srimad Bhagavatam 8.22.20 Purport:
"In the present age, Kali-yuga, the number of such shameless men, who are agnostics disbelieving in the existence of God, has increased. Trying to defy the authority of the Supreme Personality of Godhead, so-called scientists, philosophers and politicians manufacture plans and schemes for the destruction of the world. They cannot do anything good for the world, and unfortunately, because of Kali-yuga, they have plunged the affairs of the world into mismanagement. Thus there is a great need for the Kṛṣṇa consciousness movement for the benefit of innocent people who are being carried away by propaganda of such demons. If the present status quo is allowed to continue, people will certainly suffer more and more under the leadership of these demoniac agnostics."
Yet I see so many devotees identifying themselves as Liberals, Democrats, Conservatives, etc. I thought we were the eternal servants of Krishna. Does anyone realize aside from the countless innocent civilians, including women and children Obama is responsible for killing , he also has the blood of millions of babies on his hands? Has anyone heard about his funding for abortions worldwide? We don't eat animals because we know they are defenseless and helplessly slaughtered, so how can so-called devotees vote for a President who funds abortion in which millions of defenseless babies who have taken shelter in the wombs of their mothers are torn from them and exterminated? They don't take seriously the words of a pure devotee, but they believe the words of a demonic dishonest man making false promises, who will be the complete ruin of the citizens he is supposed to protect and will have most destitute and homeless in the land they believe to be the land of opportunity and freedom.
Devotees who support this man and vote for him need to wake up and stop believing in a system controlled by rakshashas. Turn off CNN and MSNBC a pick up the Gita and the Bhagavatam and start reading Prabhupada's books daily. Listen to his lectures, take his words to heart. Follow his teachings and have faith in the words of the Maha-bhagavat. What did Prabhupada say about voting?
Lecture in Bombay, March 22, 1974:
"The first teaching of Bhagavad-gita should be taken by the persons who are going to be elected in the government service. The public should be aware of this. If somebody comes to canvass for votes, you should first inquire, "Have you have read Bhagavad-gita? Mahatma Gandhi read Bhagavad-gita. Why shouldn't you? Do you know what is Bhagavad-gita? If so, then I will give you my vote. Otherwise, get out."… It is a great necessity that government men must study Bhagavad-gita. Otherwise, don't give them vote."
Last but not least, for the African American bodied devotees, many whom I have seen simply support Obama because he is African American (his citizenship is still debatable): If you are still identifying with this body, I am sorry to say, but you have made zero progress. WE ARE NOT THESE BODIES! This is the preliminary teaching of the Bhagavad-gita covered in the second chapter. I suggest studying it over and over again.
Srimad Bhagavatam 10.84.13:
"One who identifies his self as the inert body composed of mucus, bile and air, who assumes his wife and family are permanently his own, who thinks an earthen image or the land of his birth is worshipable, or who sees a place of pilgrimage as merely the water there, but who never identifies himself with, feels kinship with, worships or even visits those who are wise in spiritual truth -- such a person is no better than a cow or an ass."
Please have faith in Srila Prabhupada and Krishna and do not invest any faith, time or energy unto a rakshasha like Barack Obama. Please do not glorify a demon like Obama, like I have seen so many devotees do on Facebook. Here is a quote by one devotee in reference to Obama's acceptance speech. He shall remain nameless.
"Damn the way he delivered that speech reminded me of Dr. King's I have a dream speech. Totally love this guy!"

Today, more than forty years later, we are left with the unfortunate reality that, as the cartoon character Pogo put it: "We have met the enemy and he is us." Our GBC themselves are leading the charge into Mayavadism, New Age Interfaithism, Feminism, Humanism, Hinduism, and so many other non-Krsna conscious isms.
As the Roman philosopher Cicero wrote in 42 B.C. (paraphrased):
'A nation cannot survive treason from within... the traitor wears the face of his victims, and he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation—he works secretly...he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to be feared.'
Cicero had only a mundane understanding of 'the baseness lying deep in the hearts of men'. Followers of the Vedas know it to be material contamination, the influence of the modes… the desire to be Krsna rather than serve Krsna. And while Cicero feared traitors more than murderers, Srila Prabhupada warned his followers that one of the greatest problems is, we are not enough afraid of maya.
What the liberal, modernist GBC leaders are perpetuating upon Srila Prabhupada's ISKCON society is nothing less than an act of treason. The men among them who remain loyal to the unalloyed teachings of the Founder-Acarya will either cut off these rotted, cancerous members, or they will be thoroughly infected by them and die from the same poison. Either way, we must believe that by Krsna's arrangement, there will always be some devotees who, like Prahlada Maharaja, cannot be polluted by the poison and will continue to perpetuate the mission of His Divine Grace, As It Is.
