The email from the other devotee included in my post (who sent to me the flyer with their email) was not initiated by Srila Prabhupada, nor, did that person's email (again included here) address Srila Prabhupada's not being given any mention in the flyer.
A few more points in blue color regarding: One has to question where is the toxicity...
So you'll understand, though you or others may possibly take my words wrongly - because it's not so easy to communicate one's heart through the written word - I am not writing this email to you out of "hate," "malice," but in CARING!!! about you. (I'm sure you remember in Spring and Summer of 1987 in Thompkins Square Park the evening kirtan programs I started when you began coming, your later bringing Prthuputra prabhu, later Cakravarti (at that time Swami's) taking over the program after I returned to serve on the African continent.)
Just to sum up what I earlier wrote, the whole point is that the GBC as a general body - your being on that body - and certain specific individuals especially, have systematically and increasingly purposefully minimized Srila Prabhupada from ISKCON through the various methods employed. It is this minimization (with intention to "remove" to whatever extent can be accomplished - though USING Srila Prabhupada for materialistic objectives) of Srila Prabhupada which is THE toxicity of ISKCON, a toxicity that extends itself in so many directions, which has been brought in by the various GBC "leaders," the different methods employed to accomplish such an objective.
I've written this email with HOPES that it will TOUCH and WAKE your heart up to the facts if you have not been able to see through what's been going on. Sometimes someone takes part in something, their not realizing what is happening, nor realizing the part they are having in it:
The fact that ISKCON's (MOST IMPORTANT personality), ISKCON Founder-Acarya, Srila Prabhupada is not being given any mention (in an ISKCON flyer for Rathayatra) shows a lot about the present state of [toxicity within] ISKCON. The fact that so many DEDICATED disciples of Srila Prabhupada have been pushed out by the GBC (which was to see to ISKCON's WELFARE on behalf of Srila Prabhupada - its spiritual standard as an overall society, and to the standard of the consciousness of its devotees as individuals) - and what state the GBC has allowed Srila Prabhupada's society, its temples, and the consciousness of many devotees living in these temples to DIMINSH to, reveals the toxicity of present-day ISKCON, along with the so many other "not nice" and downright deplorable factors which I'm not mentioning here.
Pray, pray!!! PRAY!!! to Srila Prabhupada, our Father, and ask Srila Prabhupada if He is happy with what is going on in HIS ISKCON. Ask Srila Prabhupada if He is happy with what the GBC has done to HIS ISKCON and those devotees who were so dedicated to serving His Divine Grace, whether they came before or after Srila Prabhupada's departure.
Ask yourself why SO MANY devotees CRY SUCH INTENSE TEARS in seeing ISKCON in the state that it has come to, and why other devotees feel so angry at seeing Srila Prabhupada's ISKCON in the state that it is in now.
Srila Prabhupada was an OCEAN of LOVE!!! - an ocean of mercy, full of COMPASSION for all the conditioned souls - Krsna's AMBASSADOR,Who created HIS ISKCON for distributing His love, Krsna consciousness to all, yet what has the GBC done? Ask yourself. Ask yourself what the collective GBC has done, to Srila Prabhupada's ISKCON and its devotees, and what you as an individual (as a GBC) have done in these regards. Ask how many devotees have been pushed away, after their having taken shelter of His Divine Grace, Srila Prabhupada through Srila Prabhupada's ISKCON. Srila Prabhupada called His ISKCON centers, oases in the desert, ISKCON has become so dry due to the deviations from the desires/instructions of His Divine Grace.
CC Adi 12.10: acaryera mat yei sei mata sara tanra ajna langhi cale sei ta asara "The order of the spiritual master is the active principle in spiritual life. Anyone who disobeys the order of the spiritual master immediately becomes useless."
If you, who served His Divine Grace so intimately, and having at least some knowing of Srila Prabhupada's heart, can't realize that Srila Prabhupada's ISKCON is SO OFF COURSE, including it's kicking out so many of the soldiers of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu's army, who were serving under the command of His Divine Grace, then we can only pray, pray!!! and PRAY!!! MORE!!! [for you] that Srila Prabhupada Himself will open up your heart and will allow you to see, and will hopefully inspire you to try to do something on your part to change the situation.
May we be safely situated under the shelter of Srila Prabhupada's Lotus Feet, Those of our Guru Varga, the Vaisnavas, and Sri Sri Radha and Krsna.
