Dear recipient of my affection,

Bhakti is not at all provincial. Since Svayam Bhagavān is beyond all time and space, only that consciousness which is transcendental to time and space can attain Him. The teachings of Śrīman Mahāprabhu are not within any time or place. Even though some mahājanas out of mercy for the residents of Bengal have written some granthas (scriptures) in the Bengali language, it is not correct to consider that those mahājanas are Bengali.

The conceptions revealed by Śrīman Mahāprabhu could be manifested in any language. Professor Sānyāl and others preached Mahāprabhu's message in English. Śrī Nimānanda prabhu has been preaching it in Assamese, Nārāyaṇa Mahārāja in Hindi, and Madhusudana Mahārāja and others in Oriya. You are an educated person. Make Mahaprabhu’s teachings thoroughly one with your heart and continue to firmly propagate it in Assam, in the Assamese language.

Only the prema-dharma of Śrīman Mahāprabhu will bring peace, friendship and love to the whole world. No country as of yet has attained peace through political means. Political thought, being extremely ordinary and provincial, is sustained through gross materialism and is thus temporary. Ephemeral conceptions can never bring man lasting peace and happiness. The dharma of Śrīman Mahāprabhu is the dharma of the soul. It is not a mundane, non-spiritual (anātmā) dharma that fosters the passionate outbursts of the body and mind. The body and mind are both inert matter. To remain confined within them is indeed bondage. You are a committed and intelligent person; therefore, be established in the eternal (nitya) dharma. There is no need to remain situated in non-spiritual (anātmā) dharma. Thus, I conclude.

Your ever well wisher,
Śrī Bhakti Prajñāna Keśava
