Am I mistaken? Seems there are two motivators among the devotees; 1) salvation, and 2) pure devotional service.
I say this, as one camp emphasizes never being offensive, being non-judgemental, passive, accepting your karma, chanting 64 rounds etc. while another i dare say, recognize that they are eternal servants of Krsna, they have already achieved salvation, and so they are engaged in helping others even to the point of world wide revolutionary spiritual activities such as sankirtana, pointing out the Raksasas and their plans, and foiling internal deviations draining the Movement of its power and cohesiveness. But the salvationists criticize the preachers, as they do not understand that Krsna consiousness is about service to Krsna by delivering others, not about one's own liberation only or even primarily.
Srila Prabhupada said that some of the soldiers will fall in the war, that does not mean the preaching is stopped. So, he is prepared to see the devotees sacrifice all, as the need is that great. We should take this most gravely and act with firm decision.
They try to tell me there is nothing that I can do, I am too small, too weak, no power; but it is not about that. Gita says do your duty expecting no reward nor thinking one controls the results of one's service.
