Takes practise, like everything else. I can sweep a courtyard, prepare a feast, do devotional service in my mind's eye in fair detail, color, as a result of chanting hare krsna and meditating for decades. Then there is the corresponding emotion with the meditation, and if the object of meditation is living, ie God, then assistance comes from above as well.
