Some thoughts on culture and pains ;
We race through life, not having time to absorb each moment or resolve our feelings about many important issues and events. Such is rushed industrial life, which must produce physical goods for the reptile masters., on schedule, and in copious amount.
These unresolved tears and cries solidify, and accumulate in the neck, shoulder, and upper back muscles, also the stomach and brain, producing blood flow reductions, nerve restrictions, pain chemicals ,and forced adaptation in reflex protective mechanisms. The muscles become tense, tendons etc. rigid and sore, balance pulled out of place, pain, readjustment, disease, stress, more unresolved tears, until a dam of emotions is raised in the subconscious mind which manifests in tight and sore muscles sets, leading to headaches, pain, organ misfunctions.
In this way, when time allows or we retire, many of those unresolved blocked emotions arise to fill the now un-packed hours. We suffer back ache, tension headaches, from so many unresolved griefs which led from mental to physical restriction in our lives. If we massage those sore muscles sets, this in turn causes a re-release of the emotions internally that led to their formation in the first place. Sometimes the reverse is true; if we resolve our issues, the corresponding physical illness reduces. Thus, healing physical lock-ups, by a variety of physical means such as fasting/proper diet, breathing, aware consciousness of muscles statuses/tension/pains, dance, music, prayer, excercise, meditation /chanting, deeper massage, heat, pain killers, stretch, rest, sometimes over a course of literally years, can correspondingly lead to emotional release of long-standing grievances and worries.
Our society leads us to these states of dis-ease, and so it can rightly be said that much illness is cultural, manifesting in the psychology and bodies of the participants. Social behavior is then modified by the mind-set of the members, which was in part determined by the cultural models and motifs. To speak of illness without considering the social context is at best artificial and partial.
Modern life causes a back-up of stressors and emotional and cognitive issues that we have no time for. They are left aside, buried under the ongoing never-ceasing noise. Then, when one is old, the dam may burst, and one suffers throughout the old years, or, one can actively seek to end the pains before death comes. Modern passionate demonic life leads to unnatural high-stress and suffering. More balance of goodness is wanted, we are not meant to live so fast.

I am myself very liberal, yet I hold God-conscious "right" morals, such as ; simplicity, honesty, naturality, tradition, cleanliness, family, service to others. So, these are not necessarily mutually contradictory, right behavior and liberal thinking.
Seems like the duality false paradigm 'right versus left' is artificial, misleading. God-conscious versus demonic more aptly categorizes the world population.
Is India right or left, for example? It has many elements of both, living together very comfortably for thousands of years.
Are we advanced level hippies liberal? Yet, most of us nowadays are considered the new right...
Humbleness and devotion are from God, and His service is right conduct., whereas denial of Godhead is seperatist mentality, and leads to the many entanglements of false ego, demonic liberalism, abuses, karma, and imprisonment in matter.
