One of the powers of the fallen itsacon is to force the devotee to eventually break out of the containing institutional shell, to acquire self-directed morality based upon experience and maturity with the path of following pure sastra and pure devotees. The good shepherd keeps that path straight and true and sharp enough, for one who accepts and surrenders, with intelligence, not mere obeyance. Obeyance is part of lower-level morality based upon societal pressures and internalized fears arising therefrom. Mom, then family, then local community, then nation, then world, then all living things, then Krsna. The self-realized person is Krsna conscious, and thus makes choices of actions based upon motivations of Godhead rather than fallen jivas.
So, by dint of being such a screwed over place, the neophyte will eventually have to break with the constraints of religious controlled cultism, and instead make decisions for themself, seeing as itsacon is currently such a degraded cult.
PS I am flabbergasted by the developments of Krsna culture in your part of the world !! Very hard to back up when so much has gone one, but i suppose right-headed Srila Prabhupada disciples can gradually reattain doctrinal dominance and eventually physical control of all itsacon cult creations current. (Rahu says hello ! from Saggitarius or wherever. )
