  • Klim gopi-bhavasrayaya svaha! Actually it was given by Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Prabhupada to his sannyasa disciples, it is really to be chanted by those in manjari bhava , those who have attained that stage, but not every sannyasi is that elevated in 99.9999 percent of cases not so. Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Prabhupada also gave 64 rounds to chant daily ,especially for a sannyasi but srila Bhaktivinoda Thakura stated real grhasthas should chant minimum 64 rounds also (Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Prabhupada instructed that all his disciples should chant this much daily . The sannaysa Gayatri it means I take shelter of the bhava , the ecstatic love of the Gopis have for Krsna. Not every soul is a manjari there is many relationships with Krsna .There is 5 Rasas , in the beginning of KC one simply focus on being Krsnas eternal servant. By chanting 64 rounds and avoiding the 10 offences to the holy name ,Sri Sri Radha Krsna will send one to an uttama adhikari Guru and everything will be revealed .Krsna is personally situated in the heart of His pure devotees and He will personally reveal the jivas eternal relationship with Him and His beloved Sri Radha.Lord Caitanya came to spread love for Krsna in Vrindavana , the Govinda Lilamrta is not for Vaikuntha or Ayodhya Bhaktas . It is not for neophyte vaidhi bhaktas but even those who hear these pastimes ,if they are sincere then Krsna will help them understand these pastimes of Radha Krsna. Sri Sri Radha Krsna appeared as Sri Sri Gaura Gadadhara in Navadvipa

  • Prabhavishnu's Fault?

BY: DHARMAPAD DAS (DEAN DOMINIC DE LUCIA)

Jan 17, 2012 — BRAZIL (SUN) — So now another icon of ISKCON, Prabhavishnu Prabhu, has fallen. And how he has fallen! He has fallen like a lead weight, like a titan; if he were a ship, he would be the Titanic!

On one hand, he truly has himself to blame for his situation. After all, it was he that took the decisions that got him into so much trouble. But let's back up for a moment and take a look at what he is actually guilty of. He is guilty of having sex with a woman, plain and simple. Of course, he is a sannyasi and they were prostitutes, but still, to have occasional sex is not, in and of itself, so terrible. There is even scope for it in the Vedic system, i.e., there is the grihasta ashram.

In spite of this, it became quite a cause for falldown for Prabhavishnu Prabhu because of his sannyasi vows, and herein lies the rub. Ever since Srila Bhaktivinoda Thakur resurrected Gaudiya Vaishnavism over 100 years ago, sannyasa vows have been a problem. Specifically, Bhaktivinode's son, Shrila Bhaktisiddhanta Saraswati, Prabhupad, was known for chastising the babajis and renunciates in the holy dhams for breaking their vows with widows. So even back then, sannyasa vows were a problem that plagued the leadership and application of Gaudiya Vaishnavism.

There have been a lot of awful experiences in and outside of ISKCON that the abstinence demanded by these vows has provoked: rapes, illicit sex, stealing money for sex, and child molestation, to name some of the main awful experiences. Sannyasa doesn't work, and it causes trouble. The ashram is also looked down upon by a large faction of ISKCON members; by many of the ladies and even by many of the men.

    A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupad, seemed to perceive this and, about a year and a half before he passed away, he proclaimed that he wouldn't give out any more sannyasa to his disciples. He claimed that we weren't adequate for becoming sannyasis, something along those lines. But then about a year and a half later, he gave sannyasa to several of the original eleven gurus. I was in the Delhi center then – I believe it was in Bengali Market – and I asked one of them, Harikesa Maharaj, why sannyasa was being given again if Srila Prabhupada had banned it. He told me that in case Srila Prabhupada passed away, sannyasa was being given to some of those who would do follow-on initiations; that they should have it in order to carry on.

But then, after Shrila Prabhupada passed away, ISKCON continued the existence of an active sannyasa ashram. Now, whether or not Srila Prabhupada was actually adamant about discontinuing the sannyasa ashram forever, there is one thing we can be sure of - he had certainly recognized a major problem and a bad fit. And the reader can keep in mind that the scriptures do not flatter the idea of sannyasa during the Kali Yuga.

What's ironic is that the preaching that Prabhavishnu Prabhu achieved during his devotional career could probably have been achieved from the platform of the grihasta ashram; we can imagine that his preaching career would still have continuity, too, if he were a married man.

And women in the West are different from their counterparts in India. Women in the West are all from kshatriya stock. If they are simply left to their own devices, they will project themselves upon their environment and generate results. So even from a married platform, over the long run of their lives, they will shake a leg and gets things done. Hindu ladies, on the other hand, are more apt to stay at home, consume resources, and to not show themselves out and about so much. So marrying off a preacher in the West does not necessarily neutralize his career.

Even so, not only has Prabhavishnu's career been ruined without the stabilizing factor of marriage, but the careers of so many other dedicated ISKCON stalwarts have been ruined because of that ashram's impractical vows. ISKCON has incorporated this queer and abnormal lifestyle to such a degree in its bureaucratic scheme that the insistence on sannyasa even defeats ISKCON's own purposes and shoots down the very leaders that carry it forward. It's another case of defeat from within and not from without. "We have met the enemy, and they are us." (Pogo)

Prabhavishnu das would not be altogether wrong in not accepting the blame. He was set-up for failure. At least he gave the preaching movement a lot of mileage before he made like the Titanic and sank, and that is to his credit.

Let us do away with this absurd ashram as a preaching platform. Too many lives have been destroyed.

  • The following statement was given by Dhristadyumna das, relating his remembrances of Srila Prahbupada. The circumstances at the time Srila Prabhupada made this statement were in 1976, when Madhudvisa had disappeared and given up sannyasa. Srila Prabhupada said:

"Actually I have not given any of you sannyasa. But I am in a war with Maya, the material energy, and I need leaders." He said, "It is called in wartime ‘battlefield commission.' There are no qualified leaders, but someone has to lead the charge. So you take every fifth man, ‘You are now lieutenant of the squad.' He is really a private, but we make him lieutenant for the day and he leads the charge." Then Prabhupada said, "It is to be understood that you are not sufficiently equipped for this fight and most of you will go down."

    Vrindaban, India
    Letter to Hayagriva

"The principle should be that we utilize our talents for the service of the Lord. That is real sannyasa. Formal acceptance of sannyasa, as required for all old men, means that one should retire from materialistic life, and devote his time and energy for the service of the Lord. As you are devoted already to the service of the Lord, without any personal consideration, you are always sannyasa at heart." .

"It is the greatest humanitarian welfare activities to the human society."

  • Here is an example of how a true sanyasi acts when confronted with situations that Indradyumna swami places himself willingly every day:

“…A couple of years later Puri Maharaja again visited Rome. After welcoming him at the airport, his disciples drove him to the temple they have in the city. During this particular trip, one day Maharaja entered his room after delivering a lecture. He was alone. Devotes remained outside cheerfully talking about Maharaja’s glories. An innocent young mataji took advantage of the situation and boldly ventured herself inside the room. Noticing her, Maharaja started to call aloud: “Aaaaahh, Aaaaahh, Aaaaahh”. When nobody noticed his voice, Maharaja raised his voice: “AAAAAHH! AAAAAHH! AAAAHH!” Finally, to convince all that he was in imminent danger, he literally started to scream at the top of his voice: “AAAAHH!!! AAAAAHH!!! AAAAAHH!!!

This time everyone ran inside the room to see what was happening to Maharaja. With a pale face due to the effort Maharaja stared intensely at the lady who was respectfully but frightened standing in front of him with folded hands. Then all understood: Maharaja was crying for help! Although a perfect self-realized soul, Maharaja wanted to impart to his disciples a memorable lesson: a sannyasi or brahmacari should never stay alone with a woman. What to speak of talking intimately with her! What to speak of receiving massages in front of her or writing poetry to her!

He was elderly enough to be the great-grandfather of this particular lady, nevertheless he showed with his personal example that a serious practitioner of Krishna consciousness must abide the rules and sadacara of the sannyasa asrama. As our Srila Prabhupada commented of Govinda dasi after forcefully sending her to Hawaii: “She can perfectly be my grand-daughter… I have no problem at all keeping her engaged in Krishna consciousness. But I’m a sannyasi…‘A Ceasar’s wife must be above any suspicions.

June 10 2011, High Springs, Florida, USA — In Bombay during a room conversation which was attended by Trivikrama, Hari Sauri, Palika, Dr. Patel and some others Srila Prabhupada announced that there would be no more sannyasi initiations in ISKCON. It is recorded in the Vedabase. Here is the exact reference:

    (January 7, 1977 Bombay)

“If you want woman you get yourself married, live respectfully. We have no objection. But this hypocrisy should be stopped. There have been so many fallen down. First of all there will be no sannyasi anymore. I have got very bad experience. And at least, we are not going to create new sannyasis. And those who have fallen down, let them marry, live like respectable gentlemen. I have no objection. After all, young man, fallen down—that’s all right. It is by nature’s way. But marry that girl.”

So, why did Kirtanananda and so many others give out sannyas after the passing of Srila Prabhupada? Obviously, they were being disobedient and going against the orders of Srila Prabhupada.

The hypocrisy continues despite Srila Prabhupada’s orders!

Reject the GBC!  They are a bogus bureaucracy that has trashed ISKCON in the name of Srila Prabhupada

Our Krsna consciousness movement has actually declared war against the illusory energy, in which all the living entities are rotting in a false understanding of civilization. The soldiers in this Krsna consciousness movement must always possess physical strength, enthusiasm and sensual power. To keep themselves fit, they must therefore place themselves in a normal condition of life. What constitutes a normal condition will not be the same for everyone, and therefore there are divisions of…
