Sri Krishna
Vaisnava Devotional
life involves exchanges of loving service; There are five primary flavors or rasas;
Five primary Rasas; 1 neutral ie appreciation, awe and reverence, 2 servant-master, 3 friend ship ( unequal or equal), 4 parental/protector, 5 lover. These vary in degrees of intimacy and "thickness" of bhakti. All are fully relishable and satisfying.
Appreciation of Absolute Truth
1. neutral appreciation, santa rasa, awe and reverence; yogis, sages, scholars, neophytes, some animals
Knowledge leads one to appreciate the existence of the Supreme
One who through cultivation of knowledge realizes his intellectual limitations, takes to yoga for direct unhindered perception.
By determined contemplation, practice of the disciplines of yoga, one may come to the realization of the localized Godhead, Supersoul.
Others follow the path of bhakti emphasized by Sri Caitanya for our times, and chant Hare Krishna.
Such greatly elevated yogis are known as saints of devotion, also.
This is Srila Jaggannatha dasa Babaji, chanting Hare Krishna.
Realizing the Absolute, some remain in this poisiton of neutrality of awe and reverence. A spirit cow for example, may have a mix, including awe, and parental affection also !
2. servants; dasya rasa, sadhaka bhaktas, devotees in general
Here is Lord Brahma, on lotus, Creator of our universe in service to Govinda, left side.
3. friends; sahkya rasa, may be in reverence or as equals, or even slightly superior raltionship to Krishna.
