"Outside devotees, the devotees who are outside Vṛndāvana, they are studying the inhabitants of the Vṛndāvana, how great they are. But the inhabitants of Vṛndāvana, they don't care to know how great is Krishna. That is the difference. So our business is simply to love Krishna. The more you love Krishna, the more you become perfect. It is not that it is necessary to understand Krishna, how He has created. The things are mentioned there. Krishna is explaining Himself in the Bhagavad-gīta so much. Don't bother very much to know Krishna. That is not possible. Simply increase your unalloyed love for Krishna. That is perfection of life."

"Love without separation is in God. Relationship between friend and friend, here it is breakable. As soon as there is some dissatisfaction, the friends separate. But if you make friendship with God, that is never separated. If you love Krishna, that is never separated. If you accept Krishna as your son, that son will never die. So these are the conception of God."

  • Srila Prabhupada Explains What Kind of Guru Should A Devout Aspiring Devotee Accept.
Sri Sri Prabhupada... “So one must find a guru who is paramaha paramsa.”. No puppy, no bahudak, no parrot. Forgive me".
Sri Sri Prabhupada... """If you don't get a qualified guru, then everything is fake.""". If you, fortunately, if you get the association of a guru, qualified ha unsa, paramaha ,sa.. Paramaha significasa guru means that the last stage of sannyāsī is paramaha āssa. Ku Kuīcaka, bah cdaka, parivrājakācārya and paramaha ācsa, these are the different stages. When one takes sannyāsa, lives outside the village in a ku cī, in a hut, and family members go and deliver food to him, because he is not practiced. So, at first, it maintains this neighborhood or family association, but it has no practice. Therefore, he lives outside the village, and if anyone gives him something to eat, he eats. Then when he gets experience then he doesn't. accept food from one, either from his own home or from a single house. Takes food from many houses: “Give me a piece of cāpā "i.”. Then someone gives half, because they're not overloaded either. If they have to deliver, so many come sannyāsīs, and sumptuous food, then how will the g Siha stha provide? Therefore, however... Don't overload. There may be other sannyāsīs, therefore only a few. Madness. The Gosvāmīs practiced this madhupuri in V Vndāvana. They lived, but would only get little out of the house. This is called bah akadaka. Then, when he has practiced more, he travels all over the world, parivrājakācārya. And when it has full experience, then, in spiritual life and everything, then it is paramaha Ysa. So one must find a guru who is paramaha Asísa. No puppy, no bahudak, no parrot. The ultimate strength".

In Caitanya-caritāmṛta it is said that material pious and impious activities are both opposed to the principle of devotional service. Devotional service means mukti, freedom from material entanglement, but pious and impious activities result in entanglement within this material world. If the mind is captivated by the pious and impious activities mentioned in the Vedas, one remains eternally in darkness; one cannot attain the absolute platform. To change the consciousness from ignorance to passion or from passion to goodness does not really solve the problem. As stated in Bhagavad-gītā (14.26), sa guṇān samatītyaitān brahma-bhūyāya kalpate. One must come to the transcendental platform; otherwise life’s mission is never fulfilled.
