Courtesy Prabhu Rsi Kumar; I love Iskcon ,but this Same iskcon has become Mis -CON---Very sad ---I was in New Vrndavan West Virginia ----and I know lots of devotees were dedicated doing Long hours service -----There were 2 Mata ji ---one was Mother Rohini ---she worked Day in and Day out -----When I saw Her in 84 Mother Rohini was in 60 --after many Years when she could not do Service ---they put her Old People's Home ----and only was being visited few times ----My God ---Old People's Home ----they serve What ---what kind of Devotees are We -----NOW another Mother ----Adhara ---same she was in her 60 than ---24 X7 she was sewing for Deities ,working very hard everyday ---Afteer sometimes she became semi -blind and than completely blind and -- they wanted her out too ---Her son Hari venu he had so much service ---but he set his foot down ,hadf it not been her son she too would have been Out ---As soon as the Cow gives Milk she is fine and taken Care --but as soon as the Cow is Dry --send her to Slaughter House -----This is Happening in Iskcon ---Srila Prabhupada is very upset ----thus SUCH --Negligence Sri Laxmi Devi has Walked away from Mis Con ---it is no longer ISKCON ----The house has to be cleansed and purified --restored.

Damn straight it is nowadays.A con. Service is taken by ordinary men from herds of sheeple fools.
There were similar atrocities and martyrs back in the seventies, also. Many sacrificed and were later abandoned or abused by monsters within the Movement. Srila Prabhupada was kept aloof most of the time on these petty abuses, though not petty to the sufferers.
Typical; Padmapani and I had just arrived in Calcutta. We were pukka brahmanas. Two sannyasis sat there; Gurukrpa, Gargamuni. I cannot remember exactly what they said to us, but it was a gay remark implying that Padma and I were lovers. I swallowed my pride, but five minutes later went back and told them off. So, it seems that corruption and street tongues were an integral part of the American sannyasis lives, whereas Canadian yatra was relatively free of such ruffianism.-+ This is petty example.
From what i understand, prostituting women was part of the USA scene, also.
We want to create sankirtan parties and distribute books, and even have ashramas, but we need to organize, we have some new members, and push on. If Krsna wills, everything can be done.
