Lalita Kund Cleaning by ISKCON Vrindavan

Lalita kunda, at Radha Kunda, has been in a lamentable condition for quite some time now. Devotees from ISKCON Vrindavan organized a bus full of enthusiastic devotees to go help clean the Kund, which is being headed by Radha kund resident, Laxmi Narayan baba. About 60 devotees, from all walks of life: gurukulis, matajis, brahmacharis, Prabhupada disciples, senior devotees, etc., came and made a chain to take out the tons of mud that had accumulated over many years. This went on for hours and somehow the weather became conducive for the volunteers. A sunny day became overcast, and a pleasant breeze blew.
The devotees felt the mercy of Lalita Devi upon them. "As I was shoveling the mud in the midday sun, I was pleasantly surprised to feel a strong gust of wind staring to blow. We looked into the sky, and saw Shyam like storm clouds forming over the Radha Kund area. It gave us new life in our effort to please Lalita Devi", says Amala Harinam das.
As the day went on the devotees began to tire, but Laxmi Narayan baba infused them with loud shouts of "Nitai Gaura! Haribol!" and "Lalita Kund ki jay". Around 6 pm, after 4 hours of tireless service, all the devotees headed to Radha Kund and Shyama Kund to partake in blissful, enlivening, and refreshing bath.
At the very end, devotees headed to Laxmi Narayana baba's ashram to honor prasadam that he arranged for the devotees. Kirtan was also performed simultaneously for the pleasure of his Deities, Sri Sri Kundeshvari Radha Giridhari.
This service will be continuing throughout the summer, and we encourage anyone and everyone to participate in this once in a lifetime opportunity. The goal of this project is to restore Lalita Kund to her original and beautiful condition. We hope that anyone who participates in this wonderful service can gain the everlasting blessings of Srimati Lalita Sakhi.
