Lord NityanandaFive hundred years ago, Sri Krishna, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, appeared in West Bengal in the role of His own pure devotee -- Sri Krishna Caitanya Mahaprabhu. Lord Caitanya is considered the most munificent incarnation of Godhead because He made love for Krishna easily available through the chanting of the maha-mantra -- Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna, Krishna Krishna, Hare Hare/ Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare.

When Lord Krishna appeared as Lord Caitanya, His principal associate in spreading the Krishna consciousness movement was Lord Nityananda Prabhu. Lord Nityananda is Lord Caitanya's expansion. In other words, He is nondifferent from Lord Caitanya.
