Brahmānanda: They wanted an Indian to be the leader?

Tamāla Kṛṣṇa: Yes, they probably wanted to propose somebody who would take over our movement.
Prabhupāda: Yes. Leaders. All nonsense. Leader means one who has become first-class disciple. He is leader. Evaṁ paramparā-prāpta... One who is perfectly following... Our instruction is ara na kariha mane asa **. You know this? What is that? Guru-mukha-padma-vākya, cittete kariyā aikya, ara na kariha mane asa **.
Who is leader? A leader, to become leader, is not very difficult, provided one is prepared to follow the instructions of a bona fide guru.

Pancali Devi Dasi Acbsp Are you doing diksa initiations online on behalf of Prabhupada Tamohara Prabhu?
Tamohara Dasa Yes. Not me per se, but the bunch of us have a temple, elected officers, two co TP's, me and Paravti DD. We provide training in basics, association, personal counselling etc for usually about two years, and the prospects alos attend classes. It is more rigourous than live-in temple and more personal, but the sankirtan on the streets we have not yet managed to arrange. We are too far seperated and not getting enough solid support. We have quality, not quantity. In seven years, we have managed to guide and provide diksha as TP's though our usual process of recommendation to Srila Prabhupada by the TP's. There is no fee, there is a fire sacrifice required, new name is given oath is signed, etc. We have some eight or ten new disiples in this fashion, low cost, but high involvement . All glories to Srila Prabhupada, His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Srila Prabhupada, founder acarya of ISKCON, foremost Vaisnava world wide preacher of the modern ages.
We have quite a few new members, this we feel due to the fact that we do not change or compromise our principles, but try to present the words and directions of the spiritual master without change or adulteration.
One will find articles by newer devotees, as well as from great acaryas in our disciplic line. We do not intend to place them in any way as competition to Srila Prabhupadas teachings, but rather as support of the spiritual masters mission. No contradictory advices or instructions are allowed onsite, so that one who reads the posts here will in no way receive any false messages or misdirections to ruin their spiritual life. Gambling of this sort is not allowed.
We have one section called Forum, te second set of article down from the top, in which all types of alternative but supportive useful relevant knowledge is allowed, including politics, health matters, bonafide teachings from masters outside our immediate line, some debates, some humor, etc, but it is posted in the FORUM section, not among the POSTS, which section is strictly for sruti and smrti, pure and according to our very strict line. All may post. Preapproval is not required!
There is no censor here, we trust you to use your best intelligence, although the other devotees are free to comment, and outright offensive materials will be removed by the editors or administrators, even with no notice given. This does not happen very often here, in fact, i cannot think of any recent such occurances.
We have currently two temple presidents, Parvati devi dasi, and Tamohara dasa, both disciples of Srila Prabhupada, both elected. We operate as a real online temple. Initiations of all levels are available to those who can regularly attend and contribute comments and articles and good faith, and otherwise demonstrate the required levels of advancement. Just ask the temple presidents if you wish to be considered for first or second initiations. One year of observation is required for first, and second is by the judgement of the administrators and presidents. Admin. can also recommend, but it is cleared through the elected officials. This simple system is as we followed in the days while Srila Prabhupada toured the planet and told us how to do it. We are too small to bother with any GBCs.
We have regular non-formal classes, see the Main Registrar among the Groups, (it is featured), to get an idea how this works. Online degrees are issued, including Associate Bhakti Sastri, A. Bh. S., and Bhakti Sastri , Bh.S., degrees. One must attend several courses of standard scripture to attain these degrees, it is a serious matter, not so cheap as one might guess ! Our president Tamohara dasa has several academic degrees,(CHFS, BGS, MSc, Aud (C), A. Bh. S,) and sees to it that a high enough standard is met, at least most of the time. I think maybe all of the time! lol Any brahmana may lead such a course, upon clearing with the TPs. All may attend, it is not that one has to be a genius, or an initiate, just sincere and do the required works. Initiation is also offered to those completing the A. Bh s degree.
Our groups have a lot of good and fun content, please join one or two and contribute if you can, they can be a real panacea. We also have some assorted music sections, use at your own discretion! lol nothing offensive is there sexually, though there may be revolutionary and controversial topics and words there, they are not for everyone, but better to come here for such music than go out to mundane sites. Bring your own bead bags. Some of the content is scary and blows the doors off of conditioned ideas.
The Temple runs on trust and love and respect, so angry debates will not be accepted onsite, although the forum section can accomodate some of that, if it is to your liking. Neither will other gurus be allowed to be offered as potential spiritual masters here, as we are all Prabhupadanugas. Christians and Muslims etc are allowed of course, we do not prejudice against them.
So enjoy, make friends, offer services, bring others, join classes, write articles and comments, add views and music and jokes, take initiations, get degrees, join specialized groups for knowledge. The SPI Temple is built by we, all of us together, the members, so Hare Krsna!
There is a complete set of morning sadhana in the Morning Program group, and online bhakta group has many good tips for newcomers to bhakti yoga. We have many brahmanas onsite with decades of practical expererience and insights. They are like gold.
Ask any site member if questions arise, or for friendship and association, as you like. Donations are voluntary, and we ask all to contribute sometime, as they can. Addresses for such donations are on the front page, if you see fit and want to expand our site.

This wont continue for much longer as finally I am coming to an end of many unpaid bills. So by early next year will be able to hook up the internet. And it helps that my hubby...
