Subhadra Devi katha...

Subadra of Mahabharata.9468809254?profile=original
The society in which Lord Krishna lived, had no caste discrimination. People belonged to a particular caste according to one’s livelihood. Garga Muni, the uncle of Krśńa, was a Brahmin (Vipra), and Krśńa’s father, Vasudeva, was a warlike Kśatriya, and the guardians of Krśńa, Nanda, Upananda and others, were Ábhiira Kśatriyas because they tamed cattle. These two, Játrii Kśatriya and Ábhiira Kśatriya, frequently fought each other. Both were good people, but because of some misunderstanding, they were always skirmishes and fighting. Krśńa thought, if He united these two, it would be very easy for Him to bring about Great India.
He applied His practical approach. He got His elder sister, Subhadra, an Ábhiira Kśatriya, to marry Arjuna who belonged to the Jatrii Ksatriya clan. This He did with a view to make the Játrii Kśatriyas and the Ábhiira Kśatriyas stop fighting.
She is an important character in the epic Mahabharata and also appears in other ancient Hindu scriptures. In the epic, she is the sister of Krishna and Balarama, wife of Arjuna , mother of Abhimanyu and grandmother of Parikshit. She is the daughter of Vasudev and his first wife Rohini.
