What is jyoti-Shastras? 2th part
The Jyoti-Shastras is the key through which man can know his intimate connection to the universe, overcome it and head towards the source, i.e. God. The-Shastras is a system of knowledge of ancient India in use for over 5000 years. The Jyoti-shastras actually exists forever. To fully understand the basic concepts of Jyoti-Shastras, it is necessary to consider the philosophical aspect from which they originate.
Vedic philosophy consists of six philosophical systems: 1) the philosophical system Karma-Mimāṁsā of jaiminī ṛṣi; 2) the system system of kapiladeva ṛṣi, son of devahūti; 3) the philosophy philosophy, of gautama ṛṣi And of kaṇāda ṛṣi; 4) the philosophy, of aṣṭāvakra ṛṣi; 5) Yoga-Sutras of Lucas ṛṣi; 6) the Brahma-mīmāṁsā or bhagavata philosophy of śrīla vyāsadeva. Karma-Mīmāṁsā is the philosophy of rituals and righteous acts indicated in scriptures scriptures, through which it is possible according to jaiminī, to come to perfection and to God; the-Yoga is the philosophy of cosmic and metaphysical principles, described in nine chapters (25-33) of the third song of bhagavata-Purana, the most important sacred text of all of the vast vedic knowledge; the nyaya-Shastras is the philosophy of logic logic and philosophy philosophy of atomism, which is the material design that states that The combination of atoms is the because cause of creation; the philosophy philosophy of aṣṭāvakra later recovered from śaṅkarācārya, is the philosophy that asserts that, the brightness of brahman impersonal is the only real thing; the-Yoga is the philosophy of yoga And, the is the philosophy philosophy, namely the personal study of God, soul, conscience and theology concerning God himself in his original personal appearance of absolute truth, described throughout the bhagavata-Purana.
The inspiring philosophy of Jyoti-Shastras is that of the cosmic principles and metaphysical samkhya of kapiladeva, along with the vedanta of vyāsadeva:
" there are two philosophers called kapila. The first is a avatar of God, son of kardama-Muni who in turn is son of brahmā. He appeared at the time of svayambhuva-Manu, the father and original legislator of the human race, a long time before the appearance of the other kapila, atheist and appeared in the era of vaivasvata-Muni the time we live today. This last kapila, which has nothing to do with the original samkhya-Yoga, says (based on theories he invented), that the primordial cause of material creation is not God, but is the union of material elements. Vyāsadeva is the literary incarnation of Vishnu. He compiled the holy scriptures vedic years ago. He was the father of dhṛtarāṣṭra, pāṇḍu, vidura and śukadeva-Gosvāmī. He was the son of parāśara-Muni and satyavatī. It is also known as vyasa, Veda-Vyasā, vādarāyaṇa or bādarāyaṇa, Krishna due to its dark complexion and Krishna-dvaipāyana or dvaipāyana because it was brought by satyavatī on an island or dvipa. He has the power to predict the future, and he knows both the past and the present. It-Purana confirms all this, claiming that he preconizzò the Kali-yuga with its related harmful effects (see 1.4.16-29). Vyāsadeva is also endowed with other mystical powers, may appear and disappear, give favors and also cancel Curses. Among other things, he is part of the seven Ciran-Jiva (Immortals) along with Bali, vibhīṣaṇa, kṛpa, hanumān, paraśurāma and aśvatthāmā. He's the guru for excellence. Krishna in Bhagavad-Gītā States: " among the descendants of vṛṣṇi are vāsudeva, and among the pandava, Arjuna. Among the sages are vyasa, and among the great thinkers, uśanā "( 10.37 )".
These two philosophical and theological systems are the foundation of the enormous vedic knowledge. These philosophies, the first, described understandably in the third song of bhagavata-Purana, consider the creation of material in its appearance manifested and not manifested and, the second, exposed throughout the bhagavata-Purana, shows God, seen as the absolute truth or the Supreme Soul of the universe in its personal appearance. In describing the universe, kapiladeva explains that all of the twenty-four elements undifferentiated said pradhāna, is the condition in which the matter is immediately before its final expression. Under the interaction of the three influences of material nature (virtue, passion and ignorance) these elements elements are manifested by taking the name of prakṛti. The th element, i.e. time, representing the supreme person makes them combine between them by forming the saguṇa (Brahman with attributes):
" you can calculate time by measuring the movement of atoms that combine in the bodies. Time represents the power of the Almighty Lord, Hari, who directs every physical movement, although he is not directly visible in the physical world ". " Atomic time is measured according to the precise atomic space that it covers. The time covering the non-manifested aggregate of atoms is said to be the great time " (Bhagavata-Purana, 3.11.3-4). Pradhāna is the total undifferentiated sum of all material elements. Is the variety, the condition in which the material nature is immediately before its event (Prakṛti) and consists of 24 elements:
- 5 Coarse Elements: Earth, water, fire, air and ether;
- 5 Thin Elements (meaning quality): the smell, taste, colour, object of touch and sound;
- 5 senses that allow knowledge acquisition: hearing, touch, taste, sight and smell;
- 5 bodies of action: the mouth (the word organ), legs (the limbs needed to move), arms (the limbs that allow to act), the anus (the evacuation body), the genitals (reproduction organs);
- 4 thin internal senses: mind, intelligence, false ego and material consciousness;
- the th element: Time (time) in its past, present and future aspects is the element that combines the elements described above. They also form the Brahman, called saguṇa, with attributes ".
The Supreme person in the plenary form of the first puruṣa-Avatar, i.e. mahā-Vishnu or kāraṇodakaśāyī-Vishnu by introducing its superior and conscious energy, formed by spiritual souls within the lower, neutral and unconscious material nature, penetrates in turn in the different Elements as support, generating cosmic or hiraṇmaya intelligence and variety or mahat-Tattva:
" the term avatar in Sanskrit means " he who descends ". it indicates the different appearances of God in the material universe. There are two different types of Avatar. The first is the plenary emanation of God (Śaktyāveśa-Avatar direct) which is not different. " full ", " complete " and " total ". the second is an enhanced soul from God to represent it (Śaktyāveśa-Avatar indirect). These apparitions, they will rule the principles of religion throughout the universe when they decline. There are six different categories of Avatar: Puruṣa-Avatar; Līlā-Avatar; Guṇa-Avatar; Yuga-Avatar; Yuga-Avatar and śaktyāveśa-Avatar ".
The material creation at that point is soul, because the influence of conditioned souls forced to take a body, puts it in motion. After such spiritual fertilisation in the womb of material nature by the supreme person, darkness dissolve to leave the place in light. Throughout the universe there is the influence of pure virtue or consciousness called vāsudeva, the stage where the absolute truth is perceived. From Mahat-Tattva originates the material ego that produces everything, to pack objects of pleasure. It consists of three influences or powers, according to virtue, passion and ignorance which in turn generate mind, sense of perception, action bodies and coarse elements. From the physical ego in virtue born the mind; from the physical ego in passion born intelligence; from ego material in ignorance born sound, which is the thin form of ether and which, in turn generates space, ear as a sense organ , the sense of hearing, air and touch. The touch generates sight and eye as a sense organ. After that, the fire, colors and shapes that are characterized by size, quality and individuality are created. Then taste and taste, water and tongue, smell, earth that is the support of all elements and sense of smell.
To explain better the topic, ether, air, fire, water and earth are the coarse elements that make up the universe. They are called objects of sense, because they make up all things and, they are formed in turn by five thin elements, called sense quality: the sound, the object of touch, color or shape, taste or taste and the They smell like their essence. Since everything belonging to creation is subject to one another, as it is the object of the five senses, i.e. hearing, touch, taste, sight and smell, the five natural elements to be taken must possess Similar qualities. The five natural elements formed causally at the beginning of the creation of each other, i.e. they developed from element to element to produce variety, mountains and rivers, plant species, animals and humans. Thus from sound, which is the depiction of the real object and, the thin form of the ether, is born the coarse form of sound, which is the ether itself. From the ether for transformation the air is born; from the air comes fire; from fire comes water and, from water always for transformation the earth is born. Summing up the ether contains only sound quality; air, sound, touch, sensory perception, psychic faculties, physical strength and all basic conditions conducive to life; fire, sound, touch and shape ; water, sound, touch, shape and taste; the earth, finally contains all these qualities plus smell and those described for air. The Earth in substance is in possession of all the multiplicity of life and it draws its origin from the primary element that is air.
Knowing this process, it makes it possible to prevent diseases, especially psychic disturbances, as they occur for irregular air circulation within the human earth body. A proper breathing has a beneficial effect on the balance of thin airs, allowing the disease to be eliminated, together with increasing the duration of organic existence.
Kapila-Deva's philosophy philosophy explains that at the same time as the combination of these elements, the absolute truth in the form of the second puruṣa-Avatar, i.e. Garbhodakaśāyī-Vishnu penetrates into the universe assisted by time, by action, by the three influences of material nature And from Mahat-Tattva, the whole of material energy. The interaction of these elements stems from the egg-shaped universe which is covered by seven layers: Ether, air, water, fire, false ego and mahat-Tattva. Every single layer is ten times more often than before. The last layer is called pradhāna. In this universe, fourteen planetary systems are enclosed and the form of cosmic being, the supreme person:
" Vedic cosmology explains that our universe (from sanskrit jagat, meaning " move ") is closed; it has an egg form; it is one in the midst of countless other extended universes that are grouped together as so many atoms in a large agglomeration ; all universes contain life, are closed, have different measures and have only one owner; all universes including ours have a beginning and an end; the age present of our universe is 155.522 x 10¹² years, And it's older than the big bang concept of an order of 10⁴ These 155.522 x 10¹² years form a parārdha, i.e. the fifty years of life's life; the creation and destruction of all universes follows the cycle like changing seasons; our universe will end between 155.522 x 10¹² Years; during the life of the universe there are partial and periodic creations and destruction; there are 8.400.000 forms of different species of life in this universe based on evolution of consciousness ".
This Supreme person instructs brahmā by all universal knowledge. At that moment they are born to see that they are the eternal and sound manifestation of absolute truth and, also the jyoti-shastras which is the object of study of this book (Bhagavata-Purana, 6.16.51). To Finish, God, in the form of the third Puruṣa-Avatar, i.e. Kṣīrodakaśāyī-Vishnu penetrates into the heart of every man as a supreme soul or paramātmā, the energy energy of the Lord. So the jyoti-Shastras was born a long time ago, right at the beginning of creation. Krishna, in the form of Vishnu at the beginning of creation, delivers the knowledge comprehensive to brahmā. Brahmā then conveys the knowledge that unifies astrology and astronomy to man.
