In the book Nāma-kaumudī it is recommended that if one is an offender at the lotus feet of a Vaiṣṇava, he should submit to that Vaiṣṇava and be excused; similarly, if one is an offender in chanting the holy name, he should submit to the holy name and thus be freed from his offenses. In this connection there is the following statement, spoken by Dakṣa to Lord Śiva: “I did not know the glories of your personality, and therefore I committed an offense at your lotus feet in the open assembly. You are so kind, however, that you did not accept my offense. Instead, when I was falling down because of accusing you, you saved me by your merciful glance. You are most great. Kindly excuse me and be satisfied with your own exalted qualities.”
One should be very humble and meek to offer one’s desires and chant prayers composed in glorification of the holy name, such as ayi mukta-kulair upāsya mānam and nivṛtta-tarṣair upagīyamānād [SB 10.1.4]. One should chant such prayers to become free from offenses at the lotus feet of the holy name.

Purport: Glorification of the Supreme Personality of Godhead is performed in the paramparā system; that is, it is conveyed from spiritual master to disciple. Such glorification is relished by those no longer interested in the false, temporary glorification of this cosmic manifestation. Descriptions of the Lord are the right medicine for the conditioned soul undergoing repeated birth and death. Therefore, who will cease hearing such glorification of the Lord except a butcher or one who is killing his own self?

As we realize our actual position by hearing from our perfect master, Srila Prabhupada and his pure disciples, the longing for perfect re-realization should be most helpful in sincerely chanting hare krsna hare krsna. One can easily attain siddha svarupa by chanting the Panca tattva mantra, then in such a realized state, one can actually perform pure devotional service, and this process is recommended by Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Saraswati Prabhupada in his small books such as The Holy Name, and Srila Haridasa Thakura.
In Iskcon, we served Panca Tattva by preaching their mission widely, and so became eligible for full Mercy and pure chanting, by dint of service done in surrender even while yet imperfect in realization etc, Yet , due to love and respect for HDG Srila Prabhupada, led to perfect surrender, enthusiastic extraordinary surrender. The living entities dropped all concerns about their own life and happiness, and went out into the dangerous crazy streets to distribute transcendental liertatures... to try to save others. This is incredible ! and rarer than purple diamonds. ( I never heard of a purple diamond. That rare.)
