We recently received the following e-mail from Krishnagati Das prabhu:
Dear Maharaj/Prabhuji’s,
Kindly accept my humble pranam. Hope, this letter find your goodself in good health & blissful mood of Krishna Consciousness.
It is for your information that our National Highway problem is settled with the understanding that the sewerage line shall go outside of the temple chandan pond and drainage (rain water) shall go near the Chandan Kunda. This solution was acceptable to both N.H. authority and ISKCON, Bhubaneswar. This agreement was reached by much of effort given by Sripad Bijay Sahoo, President, Reliance industries (H.R.) and Mr. Sudhir babu, Coordinator, Reliance industries (H.R.). The Bhajan Kutirs of Srila Prabhupada and Srila Gurudeva (Sri Srimad Gour Govinda Swami) are totally safe. We are planning to errect a beautiful temple both of them in near future. We are very thankful to both of these personalities.

Yes, these are very good questions, let us hope the temple officers pay attention and are careful at this point, lest there be a whitewash and things not be handled properly for the future.
I feel that the devotees being so vocal, and the petition, had some influences. Now, time to make friends, but hold our side of the issues as Rasamanjari devi suggests. Naivete will not help .
There would be no harm if SPI Temple devotees kept a house in Bhubaneswara.
This well, curiously, must be where the brahmacaries and Lagudi dasa literally camped in a somewhat dug out area, a hole, in the ground, now a well is there! We also used to keep a big fire pit for cooking dahlma for the Sunday program. This was close to the fence. Dhotis also hung on lines behind the main building.
The big water tower never turned water off to the ashrama in those days, even in drought, so neighbors came to line up for the pump. The property was crisscrossed with a series of pipes for irrigation. The boys used to constantly chase off goats, but after a while, we got a better fencing, and planted rows of bananas outback.
In the front were chilis, papayas, eggplant, peppers, squash, Tulsi Devi!
Gour Govinda was in those days enwrapt in a few activities, namely translating, sadhana, Sunday lecturing, and once in a while, going out to an engagement. I would accompany him, sometimes with mrdanga, and we visisted a Bhubaneswara math and a sammelan as speaker S. Mohanty invited us, also a grhastas home in Cuttack, a small festival in Jagannathapur, also went with NYC devotees to Puri, and Remuna, and GGS and i also visited Calcutta and Mayapura, also Neelamadhava festival.

Srila Prabhupada's ISKCON was our name when we transferred here from Youtube, hence SPI, and we actually function as a Temple. We have distributed a couple hundred books, initiated eight or so long time members, established university/college level courses, produced a library of relevant materials, produced youtube films, made and lost good friends. One of our goals was to establish ashramas. That has been successful in that we have members all over, but no temples except this one online.
We have elected temple presidents, as many as three, but currently two.
I myself am seeking out the best engagment when i leave Canada again. To rent or purchase a house in Bhubaneswara is an option that might make good sense for our site members as we age and retire and look for accomodation part time or full time amongst friends in a healthy sacred place in India.
We are going rhinoceros hunting, Rasamanjari, and much to all of our surprise, we have bagged one or two! We have discussed and revealed many heav yglobal issues onsite, for several years now, and are seeing it all mature into a hellish scene, the modern world.
But we have fought for some respect for GGS and have trounced some of his enemies now. We got attacked back hard, weak members folded, but those who stayed are hare core.
SPI is very serious, as we promote that every SP brahmana, who wishes,should go online and make a temple and elect officers and do ritvik sponsored programs towards diksha and thus bypass the reptileanrich elite takeover GBC, altogether. Hare Krsna
