We Three Kings...

If one examines the records of the elites of this world, not a one of these great kings ever lives forever.  Indeed, some live considerably shorter than average !   Yet, Krsna spoke that, "Never was there a time when I did not exist, nor you, nor all these kings at Kuruksetra, nor in future shall any of us cease to be."

Therefore, we can understand that the temporary material designation as King or Queen in this world is false, as it is not eternal, it is thus always dissappointing. To find eternal life, one has to find one's identity of spirit. Lord Krishna's words are understood when one knows that the Self is spirit, which never dies nor ceases. There is eternal life, and then  there is temporary designated conditioned "life", small "s" self.

“There are two destinies . . . One destiny is in Krsna consciousness, and the other destiny is in material consciousness . . .”
-Letter to Madhudvisa, 2-14-70 A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Srila Prabhupada.

PS;  Srimad Bhagavatam says that anxiety is the core feature of Kali yuga, and I posit that disappointment is possibly an equally descriptive English choice of term ?
