what is deviation?

"When disciples do not stick to the principle of accepting the order of their spiritual master, immediately there are two opinions. Any opinion different from the opinion of the spiritual master is useless. One cannot infiltrate materially concocted ideas into spiritual advancement. That is deviation." (Caitanya-caritamrita, Adi Lila, 12.9, purport)

  • Editor; note; Srila Prabhupada had no written authorization to be guru, but was sent by his spiritual master alone to the West with a few books, to preach, and instruction to preach in English. An example speaks louder than words, yet here are some words also,

"All my disciples will take the legacy. If you want, you can also take it. Sacrifice everything. I, one, may soon pass away. But they are hundreds, and this movement will increase. It is not that I give an order, 'Here is the next leader.' Anyone who follows the previous leadership is the leader.... All of my disciples are leaders, as much as they follow purely. If you want to follow, you can also lead. But you don't want to follow. Leader means one who is a first class disciple. Evam param parapraptam. One who is following is perfect."
(Srila Prabhupada, Back to Godhead magazine, Vol. 13, No. 1-2)

There are those nowadays who try to say that there will never be another acarya, that Srila Prabhupada is the last, that he authorized no one, so that is the bottom line. But Shree Chaitanya Mahaprabhu ordered all to try to become real gurus, whether through simple siksa or qualified parampara diksa from those truly liberated and as required. We see above that Srila Prabhupada wrote similarly, we see his words authorizing all to try to become pure leaders in accordance  with their capacity, and we see that Srila Prabhupada himself had no written authorization, but the order of his gurudeva spoken, and in his general writings of instruction to all his disciples. This legalistic mundane idea of a written authorization comes from  fanatics with a desire to divide and conquer the Vaisnavas by introducing deviant ideas.

For example, they say Gour Govinda Swami cannot be a pure devotee, such nonsense if they examine his life seriously. They say he is not auhorized, yet he said, and others have witnessed, Srila Prabhupada told him to take disciples  and that "Krsna sent him!" So, only envious plotters dare to say that foolishly Krsna does not send us an ongoing stream of pure masters to guide us and help us serve Srila Prabhupada.

As always, we initiate new disciples as followers and elected temple presidents etc of Srila Prabhupada, the same system he gave us , and which he told us not to change. But why should we reject new gurus who are truly advanced and pure? That would be a deviation from what Srila Prabhupada taught and himself did.

Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Saraswati, the Lion guru, our Grandfather spiritual master, took sannyasa from his departed gurudeva Srila Gaurakishore das Babaji Maharajah, so clearly by his perfect example,  so called post partum diksa is authorized also. The pure devotee never dies, that is a big lie, and his instructions are eternal for his disciples. Only mundane fools dare say the Vaisnava departs and can no longer be contacted.

Both these Prabhupadas are currently present, we see no deviation in following their perfect examples for us all. Rather, those who reject pure Vaisnavas and those who reject the initiation system left for us by Srila Prabhupada, why it is they who fall short, and they whose motives are deviant?

It is the responsibility of all sincere disciples of Srila Prabhupada  new or old to spread all around the world the deviations of the current GBC and their voted in conditioned soul gurus. If we all sit back and do nothing then we too are guilty bi-proxy. For 42 years now some members of the GBC have conspired against Srila Prabhupada with full material desire to take His position. Prabhupada describes this as "kill guru, become guru." To those who sit back and turn a blind eye giving absolutely no regard to our Founding Fathers instructions for His ISKCON your future births are very dark. We have been taught above all that we must OBEY the orders of the spiritual master without the slightest of deviations. If one deviates from the instructions of the bona fide spiritual master especially after initiation, one disconnects the connection to the spiritual master and therefore disconnects their relationship with Krsna. Prabhupada says " We are servants of Arjuna and devotees of Krsna, wherever there is Krsna and Arjuna there will always be victory. So keep the faith, remain fearless like a lion and fight for our beloved Guru Maharaja, His Divine Grace, Srila A.C Bhaktivedanta Svami Prabhupada
