Without Precedence?

Herein Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Saraswati Thakura establishes the ritvik process for us all. His Guru Maharajah Srila Gaura Kishora dasa babaji had already passed on some years before this occurred ,as follows;

"When he gave himself  'tridandi sannyasa' (or more correctly, had taken 'sannyasa' from a picture of Gaura Kishora dasa Babaji Maharaj), this was a shock to even his supporters, including disciples of Srila Bhaktivinoda Thakura."

So, to those envious GBCists  who try to say that Srila Prabhupada cannot accept disciples now that he is "dead and gone", we say a Vaisnava never dies. Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarswati, the lion guru, established this 100% by taking sannyasa by ritvik process. It is unbelievable that some say there is no precedence, when our own grandfather spiritual master set the perfect example for us all.

  • Haha! Garner's biased GBCist articles, such as the one above in the comment  Louis Prabhu has dropped here, are as ever full of innuendo and judgement, meant to con ass kissers and the naive and otherwise presenting the same old hackneyed misrepresentations as they have spit up for the last forty years now.

    I am not impressed, cant be bothered to go over it all yet again. What is unheard of in reality, is a rubber stamp gooroo! - that is unheard of. What has been seen and heard of is SP telling us all to try to become leaders and gurus within our capacity. This is what he himself did, and what his spiritual master also did before him. He had neithere written nor spoken instructions to be diksha guru, but general ones, same as we have. So, i will go with the precedents set by the spiritual masters. SP set up the ritvik sytem before he left the planet, and told us not to change it. i myself took such a brahminical ritvik diksha while SP was still on the planet. So the precedent is clear as anything to those who are not sticking their heads where the sun don't shine.

  • Yes, it is . But there are required designations, as set by the acaryas. You are required to take initiations from a bonafide spiritual master. Here is a nice quote. What Srila Prabhupada said to the early Great Sinister Movment members trying to takeover Iskcon in later years, is another matter...

    "All my disciples will take the legacy. If you want, you can also take it. Sacrifice everything. I, one, may soon pass away. But they are hundreds, and this movement will increase. It is not that I give an order, 'Here is the next leader.' Anyone who follows the previous leadership is the leader.... All of my disciples are leaders, as much as they follow purely. If you want to follow, you can also lead. But you don't want to follow. Leader means one who is a first class disciple. Evam param parapraptam. One who is following is perfect."
