I sat in the alien craft when they flipped on the switch...i could hear rotors, and there before me i saw a highway, surrounded by low hills and brownish brush decorating a relatively dry hot landscape. We slowly moved forward, then the pace picked up faster and faster. It was not unpleasant, about four minutes... then "clik"! We were back at the starting point of the highway drive of four minutes ago !... but it was different,. more intense, shining just a little too brightly, somehow surreal, and again the same stretch of highway passed, then; 'clik"! We were back at the start, but now oh what a difference! It all seemed to glow with a delight in its own mystery, at the romantic far-flung fun and heroic joyous beauty !, ...and along we went, enjoying the sounds like beating heart strings music of the spheres, moving faster and faster along the road, then "Clik"! ...

I was later explained to that the alien device folded time locally for a moment, and the whiplash energy was used to propel the craft and the occupants upward, successively, into higher realities, and thus in due course also cross vast distances as if in a thought...
