nityo nityanam, cetanas cetananam, eko bahunam, yo viddahati kaman
Among the eternals there is one originating Supreme Eternal. All things emanate from Him, Godhead. In Canada, we're having much snow, blowing winds, deep winter today.
The snow is like a blanket, like an expression of the soothing agent of yogamaya. Godhead protects us and covers us over by dreams of beauty and love, and the snow here reflects a restricted yet similar degree of that quality of His. It gently coordinates all under its rubric of snow-related activities, blanketting the world, street and stream, evenly and without discrimination. Similarly, the spiritual sky is controlled by loving service under the coordinating creative efforts of Yoga Maya ie Smt. Paurnamasi, Tulsi Devi et al.
But like Maha maya, the snow also blurs vision, so that one can see just a few blocks, then past that, all is gray. The materially embodied soul similarly experiences time as blind, he sees only a limited scope of the world around him. But, if he recalls the roadways rightly, he can still navigate based on previous knolwedge. We also can navigate the storms' darknesses by hearing properly from the liberated souls, from Srila Prabhupada A.C. Bhakitvedanta, captain of the ship.
The wind is like the restless mind of the soul seperated from God, winds of time blowing past and through him, the jiva observor. Unstoppable, vast, unseen yet seen. Mariah/Vayu the wind also expresses the ability to move, to share, to be equal to all, to give and take, just as in the spiritual sky Godhead exchanges services with His associates there, fluttering the hearts of the residents. The wind carries refreshing air and aromas and cooling breezes and rain. Everything here has its originating counterpart in Godhead, and expresses in degree certain qualities of Godhead.
