We all feel spiritual life, the flow of bhakti shakti as it were, that sustains our life, that brings us aesthetic pleasure and meditative regard of great unending ever-fresh Beauty and even innocence. We may constantly worship with highest regards this Source of our life, the lotus feet. And what or Who is that Source? Even Krsna worships Her lotus feet, and the feet of His Parents.
If we constantly respect, cherish, honor and serve this flow of nectar, understanding that it is the most precious well of life overflowing and sustaining us against an ocean of nothing, then we shall not commit offenses due to centuries of bad-conditioned mind or current occupation by demons. We are living within a vain and bewildering demon-infested plane of existence. Earth current makes total purity everywhere always next to impossible, like living in a cake filled with worms. But we can be sincere and steady in determination to serve Srila Prabhupada despite the fluctuations in the world around us, and in our own moment to moment capacities, also given us by Grace. Gratefulness is a vital part of such thinking.
But my main point, to maintain proper respect for and honor towards the flow of bhakti, to be daily constant in contemplative sincerity, despite the ebb and flow of the current within this obstructed universe, that is wanted. Grace is cultivated and sometimes obtained by sincere knowledgeable service, despite impediments that will arise. This trick of regular honoring of devotional service, deepened by dint of knowledge and actually experienced bliss, puts one in place to be further favored by actual Grace, having pleased the Higher Beings, and thus protects one from falling down and away from devotional service to Radha Krsna and Srila Prabhupada. One can then keep in the dust of the Lotus Feet, connected to the Mainframe flow of nectar mercy, sri bhakti rasa, and experience steady bhakti rasa.
Bhakti rasa ie easily maintained by regular and even constant chanting of sacred sound, Hare Krsna, Hare Rama, and Jaya Sachinandana! , as given graciously to each of us, by associating with devotees, reading the literatures of Srila Prabhupada, engaging whole-heartedly in our devorional services, and taking nice prasadam as required for good health.

Can't help but think that Radha Krsna Harinama really don't want or need to sit and hear me chanting "japa" for hours, if its just mechanical. The devotees say, "OK, Tamohara, chant your sixteen rounds now. Beat your mind, do some unnatural severe austerities..." that will surely help you attain bliss. Panca tattva maha mantra sometimes just feels better.
jaya!
