Satsvarupa: I asked Srila Prabhupada whether a sannyasi should worship a Deity while traveling. He said a sannyasi is not required to worship the Deity. He said, Lord Chaitanya never carried a Deity. I asked about the danda. Is it a Deity? No, he said. I asked if you could offer food to the danda (as with a Deity)? He laughed and said, "No." He said that the danda means body, mind, and words dedicated to Krishna's service. He said Harinama is the thing for a sannyasi. The holy name is our only shelter. Always carry your beads and danda.
"The first thing is enthusiasm. Don't be dead." He said, "You have to work more than me. Anyone who has life, he can preach. I say to my Godbrothers, 'You are all dead. You have no strength, no life. What have you done?' Because I am trying my best, blessing is coming from my Guru Maharaja. It is not to be advertised, but seen."
We have to take great responsibility. Simply touring is not required. By traveling we have to do somet

"If somebody engages himself in the devotional service of Vasudeva, then very quickly this detachment develops. And knowledge." Knowledge also. Without knowledge, there cannot be detachment. Without knowledge, one cannot be detached. And what is that knowledge? The knowledge is that "I am not this matter; I am spirit soul." So... But this knowledge is... Although it is very easy thing to say, that "I am not this body, but I am spirit soul," but actually to have perfect knowledge, that is a great job. It is not very easy. For getting that supreme knowledge so many, I mean to say, transcendentalists, they were trying life after life, just to get detached. But the easiest process is that if one is engaged in the devotional service. That is the

Please try or be sure as possible to allow some time for retirement, as in the Vedic ways. Many deep things will surface when you stop running around for a living, sometimes very spiritual things. Those wines will mature to full fruition. As ever, the traditional Vedic ways prove to be wise beyond our own limited wisdom.9468808455?profile=original

Most of you must of seen this picture of the 11 conditioned souls pretending to be gurus tormenting a picture of Srila Prabhupad our true spiritual master. The destruction of "ISKCON" started with these 11 poisonous vipers.

It was clearly a mistake letting these false gurus languish in their egotistical ways. Loving the devotion of the misguided devotees. Yes it makes one sick.

Now here is the point. A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada did not make mistakes. So all you "cult of the guru" lovers who state he ordered these eleven, be elevated to Guru status are grotesquely wrong. You drink from the septic feet of imposters.

Srila Prabhupad looked at them and knew the truth. None of them were suitable. Therefore he proposed a "ritvik" system (priestly instructers) and stated that this was his wish. It was the wish of a spiritual master so high above any of us and they ignored it.

In the decades that have followed

So somebody protests like that. But there is no meaning of protesting against the action of the Supreme Personality of Godhead. That is our view. So we Vaiṣṇavas, we are chanting.
It does not mean that when there is need of fighting with avaiṣṇava (non-vaishnava) we shall lack in strength. We can fight. One gentleman inquired from me that 'Vaiṣṇavism makes one dull. He cannot act.' And, 'No. You have not seen a Vaiṣṇava.' In the two fightings, great fighting, the Rāmāyaṇa and Mahābhārata, the hero was Hanuman and Arjuna, and they fought.
Guest: They fought.
Prabhupada: Yes. And who can be better Vaiṣṇava than them?
Guest: Nobody.
Prabhupada: So Vaiṣṇava does not mean he is dull. No.
Guest: No, that is well proved. If there is need...

“Yes, we must set up our society as a school as best we can—I have already sent you letter. Please formulate the whole curriculum because we have to immediately submit to the Draft department and if this is accepted that will be great gain for our society. “Bhakti-sastri” is awarded after extensive study of Bhagavad-gita, Easy Journey, and Nectar of Devotion. “Bhakti-vaibhava” is awarded after study of Vedanta-sutra and Srimad-Bhagavatam on a preliminary basis; and “Bhaktivedanta” the highest title, is awarded after extensive study of Caitanya-caritamrta.” (Letter to Brahmananda, Hawaii, March 23, 1969)

Srila Prabhupada’s letter to Hansadutta- Calcutta Sept. 2, 1970 “It is a fact that the great sinister movement is within our society.” What is “the great sinister movement” if not the satanic cabal? He also instructed one of his disciples Nanda Kumar, “There are those in our movement who dress like devotees, shika, tilak, neckbeads, and dhoti, but they are not devotees. They are agents of Kali. We must find them and weed them out.”

Quote from Srila Bhaktisidhanta Saraswati Thakur Prabhupada - “After the time of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu, those faithful to Him kept apart from non devotees, to avoid contamination. Seeing this, the personality of Kali sent his representatives in disguise to pollute the Vaisnava sampradaya. Posing as Vaisnavas, they spread their wicked doctrines, and appeared so intelligent and devoted that only pure devotees could detect their real identity.” – Srila Bhaktisiddhanta, Sajana Toshani (18.2.13-14)

9468806280?profile=originalWe all feel spiritual life, the flow of bhakti shakti as it were, that sustains our life, that brings us aesthetic pleasure and meditative regard of great unending ever-fresh Beauty and even innocence. We may constantly worship with highest regards this Source of our life, the lotus feet. And what or Who is that Source? Even Krsna worships Her lotus feet, and the feet of His Parents.

If we constantly respect, cherish, honor and serve this flow of nectar, understanding that it is the most precious well of life overflowing and sustaining us against an ocean of nothing, then we shall not commit offenses due to centuries of bad-conditioned mind or current occupation by demons. We are living within a vain and bewildering demon-infested plane of existence. Earth current makes total purity everywhere always next to impossible, like living in a cake filled with worms. But we can be sincere and steady in determination to serve Srila Prabhupada despite the fluctuations in the world around us, a

Yamunā: Swāmījī, Jānakī-devī wrote me this very nice letter where she had a dream that there was a gigantic platform above the surface of the earth, and all of our devotees, our Godbrothers and -sisters and you, were assembled on this gigantic platform for saṅkīrtana.
And we had such a thunderous joy, magnificent kīrtana, that the whole earth... When you said, "Jaya oṁ paraṁ paramahaṁsa," the whole earth bowed down to you like this. And we were all crying, so happy. And you said, "Now my Guru Mahārāja is satisfied." That was her dream.
Prabhupāda: Thank you very much. Yes. Thank you for your dreaming like that. It is very pleasing to me. Yes, I want to see like that. That dreaming is also nice.

Those of us who are priests and brahmanas, and have taken vows of poverty; it is these very times when our true riches become manifest. The temporary earthly things do not hold a candle to the inner light and the joys of spiritual life, made accessible by renouncing excess material consumption. We lived to grow, and now relish the ripened fruits of our cultivations. Picking those fruits, we can freely distribute them to others, as much as they wish to take, as there is no limit or shortage.9468806474?profile=original

The Glories of Srimati Gangamata Gosvamini

There was a beautiful girl in East Bengal named Saci devi, and she was the daughter of the King of Putiya. From the beginning of her life she heard about Lord Krsna, and from that time onward she gave her entire heart to Him. From the time she was about five years old, she used to worship Krsna, sing to Krsna, play with Krsna, and do everything with Him. When she was about sixteen years old she became maddened for Him.

Saci devi was not only beautiful, but she was very intelligent and used to study Sanskrit and Bengali. Her father and mother were worried for her marriage, but she totally refused to marry. She told her father, "My marriage has already been done. There is no need of another marriage. Don't be worried. I will go to Vrndavana and I will meet my beloved there."

She took her Deities and was ready to go to Vrndavana alone, on foot, which was a three to four thousand mile journey. There were no airplanes or any modern conven

One thing, the Father serves the sons. Krsna Godhead does not overly relish bowing and scraping and pleading etc. as overly reverential needy sons might do. Rather, He wishes to play as our equal friend etc. The Vaisnavas teach this path, it is most pleasing to Godhead, and that is our eternal nature, pure service in pursuit of Krsna's pleasure, His happiness, which in ultimate is our own true happiness. We are part and parcel, we have no seperate selfish interests in our realized status. That is full liberation and unity.

Many arguments are made in this respect, that as long as we don't cut the animal we do not incur sin.

In the Mahabharata, there is a verse which states that one who sells the animal, one who buys the animal, one cuts the animal, one who cooks the animal, one who serves the animal and one who eats the animal, all are bound equally by the chain of Karma.

But leaving the spiritual aspect of it, anatomically, the human body is not structured to eat animal flesh. Studies have shown the length of the intestine of a tiger is 4 times the length of it's torso so when it eats flesh the toxins in the flesh are not kept for long in the intestine and are expelled at the earliest. Also the concentration of acid secreted in the stomach is so strong that it burns the bacteria in the flesh. While in the cow, the length of the intestine is 12 times it's torso and so the food takes longer time to be expelled from the body. We have seen that the incidence of the Mad Cow disease (bovine spongi

Nanda Baba didn't ask for an ordinary son, nor did he even ask to have Bhagavan as his son, but he asked only for bhagavat - bhakti . This is the proper yearning - begging for bhakti, for prema. The acharyas in our sampradaya don't consider that obtaining Krsna is the ultimate objective; they consider that obtaining krsna-prema is the ultimate objective . Especially the krsna-prema of the Vrajavasis, and within that, specially the prema of the gopis. And within that, the prema of Radhika has been emphasised - to have prema for Krsna as Radha-vallabha."We desire to have vatsalya - prema for You."Their love never comes and goes as the love in this world does; It is the same with Nanda and Yasoda's prema for Krsna is always taking new and variegated forms. - taken from Facebook, disciple of HH Narayana Maharajah

Happiness is fleeting. I hate when people ask "are you happy" because it is ephemeral. Better to be content. Am I content? Not always, but I am working on it. I judge a religion by its followers. Srila Prabhupada's REAL disciples all work to make the world better in some way, to lift up the fallen, to spread that ephemeral happiness by sankirtana. Some of my fondest memories are sankirtana. Our religion is about IMPROVING ourselves. We will never be perfect in the material world. That is why we try to fix our mind on Krishna, to get to the spiritual world where we CAN be perfect, and happiness is NOT ephemeral. So, improve, be content, because God owns EVERYTHING. What you have is a gift. treasure it, and pass it along. I guess, I remember a lot of homeless in the temple on feast days. Who later became devotees. I honestly cannot see that happening today. And I am thinking of the middle "80s, even AFTER Srila Prabhupada's death. This outreach, however wa

Prabhupada: Yes. Acarya is explained, bhakti-samsanah: “One who’s preaching the cult of devotional service, he’s acarya.” Then why should you find any discrepancy?
Jayadvaita: Because we see … For instance, sometimes the acarya may seem to forget something or not to know something, so from our point of view, if someone has forgotten, that is an imperfection.
Prabhupada: Then you do not understand. Acarya is not God, omniscient. He is servant of God. His business is to preach bhakti cult. That is acarya.
Jayadvaita: And that is the perfection.
Prabhupada: That is the perfection. Hare Krsna.
Jayadvaita: So we have a misunderstanding about what perfection is?
Prabhupada: Yes. Perfection is here, how he is preaching bhakti cult. That’s all.
Satsvarupa: Prabhupada, in one purport in the Bhagavad-gita, you write that a disciple of a bona fide spiritual master is supposed to know everything.
Prabhupada: Yes, if he follows th
