How many people are aware of the role notorious criminal and godman Chandra Swami played in the poisoning of ISKCON founder Srila Prabhupada in his final days?
Those who have lived in India in the 90's will be familiar with Chandra Swami and the many scandals he was involved in, including the assassination of Rajiv Gandhi. In addition he was well known as a weapons smuggler, a spy for the CIA, and was closely connected with Adnan Khashoggi (another CIA asset, who was famous for his involvement in the Iran Contra scandal of the 1980's).
"Adnan Khashoggi was implicated in the Iran–Contra affair as a key middleman in the arms-for-hostages exchange along with Iranian arms dealer Manucher Ghorbanifar [...] with Saudi and United States backing."
The name Khashoggi will be familiar because Adnan Khashoggi's nephew happens to be Jamal Khashoggi who was recently murdered by the Saudi Government in Turkey. Adnan Khasho

"So here Kṛṣṇa says how to become Kṛṣṇa conscious. That is for the brahmins, or the intellectual class of men. That is being described by Kṛṣṇa. What is that? Mayy āsakta-manāḥ: "The mind should be attached upon Me, Kṛṣṇa." This is the beginning. Some way or other we have to . . . our mind is attached to something always.

Mind cannot be detached. We have got so many desires. So mind's business—to become attached. Therefore, I accept something, I reject something. This is mind's business. So you cannot become zero; you cannot become desireless. That is not possible. Our process . . . just like others, they say: "You become desireless." That is a foolish proposal.

Who can become desireless? It is not possible. If I am desireless, then I am a dead man. A dead man has no desire. So that is not possible. We have to purify the desires

When You Are Free From This Body, Your Soul Can Go To Vaikuntha In A Second

(Now we cannot fly in the air, but when you are free from this body, your spirit soul, within a second you can go to the Vaikuṇṭhaloka. It is so light. Within a second)

"First of all, you have to consider how this planet is floating in the air. It is floating in the air, as it is stated in the Bhagavad-gītā, gām āviśya (BG 15.13). Because Kṛṣṇa enters within this . . . Kṛṣṇa, just like He enters within the atom. So He's the spirit, Supreme Spirit.

So because the Supreme Spirit is within, therefore it is floating. Not that weightlessness. Weight is there, very heavy weight. Just like you can test: This body will float in the water so long you are living. And as soon as the spirit soul goes, then immediately the body goes down.

The law of gravity acts, the so-called law of gravity. This is an example. A child, so long it is living you can take in one hand. But as soon as the child is dead, it becomes heavier. That is natural. So everything is lighter as soon as it is spirit

(So the inhabitants of Vṛndāvana, they do not care who is God, who is not God. That is not their business. But they want Kṛṣṇa and love Kṛṣṇa. That's all)

Every day, all the boys, they would come back to their home and explain to their mother, "Mother, Kṛṣṇa is so wonderful. You see? This happened today." And the mother will say: "Yes, our Kṛṣṇa is wonderful." So much. That's all. They do not know Kṛṣṇa is God, Kṛṣṇa is the Supreme Person. Kṛṣṇa is wonderful, that's all.

And their love increases. The more they perceive Kṛṣṇa's wonderful activities, they become more lover. "Perhaps he may be a demigod. Yes." That is their suggestion. When Nanda Mahārāja will talk amongst his friends and the friends will talk about Kṛṣṇa . . . "Oh, Nanda Mahārāja, your child Kṛṣṇa is wonderful." "Yes, I see that."

"So there is gradual process of evolution, and the human form of life is the greatest evolution. Here is a junction. Now you can go, elevate yourself to further, higher status of living condition. That is called devatā, or demigods. Ūrdhvaṁ gacchanti sattva-sthāḥ. If you develop the quality of goodness, then you are promoted to the higher planetary system.

Ūrdhvaṁ gacchanti sattva-sthā madhye tiṣṭhanti rājasāḥ. If you do not develop further, if you remain whatever quality you have got, just now you remain within this world. And adho gacchanti tāmasāḥ. And if you do not develop goodness or remain in the same quality but you degrade yourself, then again go to the cycle of birth in the animal kingdom. This is the law of nature.

"Sometimes He wants to fight. Because the fighting spirit is also there in Kṛṣṇa. Otherwise, where we get? Because we are part and parcel of Kṛṣṇa, all the qualities of Kṛṣṇa in minute quantity, they are within us. We are sample of Kṛṣṇa, but the . . . wherefrom we get this fighting spirit? The fighting spirit is there in Kṛṣṇa. Therefore, just like sometimes a big man or kings, they engage some wrestler to fight.

They, they pay the wrestler to fight with the king. But he's not enemy. He is giving pleasure to the king by fighting, mock fighting. Similarly, when Kṛṣṇa wants to fight, who will fight with Him? Some of His devotee, great devotee will fight with Him. Not ordinary. Just like a king, if he wants to practice

As The Sun Being Present, There Is No Darkness, Similarly If You Keep Krsna Always In your Heart, There Is No More Darkness Of Material World

"So if we can go back to home, back to Godhead, there is no darkness. It is all illuminating. It is stated in the śāstra that there is no need of sun, there is no need of moon, there is no . . . Na tad bhāsayate sūryo na śaśāṅko na pāvakaḥ (BG 15.6). In the spiritual world there is no need of sun; there is no need of moon; there is no need of electricity or fire.

That is the description. Here in the Bhagavad-gītā you'll find: na tad bhāsayate sūryo na śaśāṅko na pāvakaḥ. We cannot imagine how without sun, without moon, without electricity, without fire one can live. Yes, but there is a world like that. You do not require sunshine. You do not require. They are all illuminated.

So that is uttamam. Udgata tama yasmāt, the Sanskrit word, "from which the darkness is completely eradicated." There is another Bengal

We Want Recognition By Krsna And His Devotee, If They Are Satisfied, Then Our Life Is A Success

"This, any material thing, is mithyā (false)." No. It has got some relationship with Kṛṣṇa. That is to be seen. What is that? What is this motorcar? It is material. But what is this material? Bhūmir āpaḥ analo vāyuḥ khaṁ mano buddhir eva ca, bhinnā me prakṛtir aṣṭadhā (BG 7.4). Where they have got this metal?

This iron, wood, metal, everything, they have got from Kṛṣṇa. Therefore it has got relationship with Kṛṣṇa. Now, when it is manufactured, use it for Kṛṣṇa. That is yukta-vairāgya. So we do not hate anything material advancement. We can utilize everything for Kṛṣṇa's service. Our only preaching is that "Don't forget Kṛṣṇa." That is our business."
