" Of course, Kṛṣṇa is giving all living entities protection, even in their rebellious condition (eko bahūnāṁ yo vidadhāti kāmān). Without Kṛṣṇa's protection, we cannot live for a second. When we admit and recognize Kṛṣṇa's kindness, we become happy. Kṛṣṇa is protecting us at every moment, but we do not realize this, because we have taken life at our own risk. Kṛṣṇa gives us a certain amount of freedom, saying, "All right, do whatever you like. As far as possible, I will give you protection." However, when the living entity is fully surrendered to Kṛṣṇa, Kṛṣṇa takes total charge and gives special protection. If a child grows up and doesn't care for his father and acts freely, what can his father do? He can only say, "Do whatever you like." But when a son puts himself fully under his father's protection, he receives more care."

Purnamasi In House Of Kirtida by Vrindavan Gaura Das

VERSE 27:
anudinam iha mātrā rādhikā bhavya-vārtāḥ
kalayitum atiyatnāt preṣyate dhātrikāyāḥ
duhitṛ-yugalam uccaiḥ prema-pūra-prapañcair
vikala-mati yayāsau kīrtidā sāvatān naḥ

Stavāmṛta Kaṇā Vyākhyā: Raghunath Das Goswami praises Sri Radha’s Mother Kirtida and takes shelter at her feet. Kirtida is verily a bestower of fame (kīrti = fame and dā = bestower).

On the bank of the Godavari River Mahaprabhu asked Ramananda Ray: kīrti-gaṇa madhye jīvera kon boḍo kīrti? “What is the greatest fame for a living being?”, to which Ramananda Ray replied: kṛṣṇa prema bhakta boli yāra hoy khyāti “He who is known as a devotee who loves Krishna (is the most famous).” (Caitanya-caritāmṛta)

In the whole world, the lovers of Krishna are verily the most famous. Mother Kirtida has bound the presiding goddess of love, or Prema Lakshmi, Sri Radharani, in the net of her motherly love as her daughter, and thus has

Srila Govinda Ghosh Disappearance

govinda_ghosh_gopinath350h233w.jpg

Sri Govinda Ghosh, an intimate associate of Lord Caitanya, was known for his sweet kirtans at the annual Jagannatha Puri Ratha- yatra festival. Lord Caitanya would at once begin to dance whenever Govinda Ghosh would sing. Govinda Ghosh and his brothers Vasudeva and Madhava are eternal associates of Lord Caitanya and Lord Nityananda Prabhu.

He made his home in Agradvipa, Vasudeva in Tamluk, and Madhava Ghosh in Dain Hat. Govinda Ghosh Thakur’s house is not far from Agradvipa in Kashipura Vishnutala. Some are of the opinion that Vaishnavatala was his birthplace. Govinda Ghosh participated in Mahaprabhu’s lilas in Srivasa Angan, in the nagara-sankirtan to the Kazi’s house, and in the house of Raghava Pandit. During the Rathayatra festival, he was the lead singer in the fourth kirtan group, accompanied by his two brothers, Chota Hari Das, Vishnu Das and Raghava Pandit. Vakresvara Pandit joined this group as the principal dancer.

On Mahaprabhu’s direction, Govinda revealed the Gopinath deit

"I shall now summarily explain the meaning of these words. In this Pancha-tattwa, the bhakta-rupa (form of a Devotee) is Lord Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, who formerly appeared as Shri Krishna, the son of Nanda Maharaj. The bhakta-swarupa (devotional incarnation) is Lord Nityananda, who formerly appeared in Vrajabhumi as Lord Balarama. The bhaktaavatara (devotional manifestation) is Lord Advaita Acharya, who is not different from Sadaashiva. The bhataakhya (pure Devotee) is Shrinivasa and other great Devotees as well. The bhakta-shakti (devotional energy) is Gadadhara Pandita, the foremost of brahmanas." (Gaura Ganodesh Dipika 11.)

Animals, you can eat if you like

Image may contain: 2 people

Biren Chauhan

Puṣṭa Kṛṣṇa: ... Would a Vedic king try to prohibit the fifth-class men from eating the animals?
Prabhupāda: No. Animals, you can eat if you like. But there was no slaughterhouse. If you like, you can kill your own animal and eat. That was open. But the state did not maintain any slaughterhouse. And the third-class, fourth-class men, they would eat. So simply by saying that "You don't eat," they will not accept that. They're free, but the state would not maintain the slaughterhouse. At the present moment also, if the slaughterhouse are closed, then immediately seventy-five-percent meat-eating will be stopped. They maintain slaughterhouse. That is the most sinful activity.

"Your political preaching is encouraging to me. We should expose before the public eye that the lowest class of men are now taking the posts of leaders, and therefore there can be no peace or happiness. I have given the idea for a poster which shall be entitled: 'Select Real Leaders—Don't Spoil Life', and it will depict devotees as leaders, illustrating that real leaders have to be free of meat-eating and animal slaughter, illicit sex, intoxication and gambling. This poster is being prepared in L.A. and I want it distributed all over the world, and you can use it widely in your campaign for Mayor of Washington D.C."

"Except this Kṛṣṇa conscious movement, all the rascals, they do not know what is God. They have no clear conception of God, because they are sinful. We can give the name, address and everything of God, clear conception, not vague idea, 'God may be like this. God may be like that.' Why maybe? Here is God:

veṇuṁ kvaṇantam aravinda-dalāyatākṣaṁ
barhāvataṁsam asitāmbuda-sundarāṅgam
kandarpa-koṭi-kamanīya-viśeṣa-śobhaṁ
govindam ādi-puruṣaṁ tam ahaṁ bhajāmi
(Bs. 5.30)

Clear conception. The śāstra, Brahma-saṁhitā, clear description of God: veṇuṁ kvaṇantam. He is playing on flute. It is not that the Muralīdhara, Śyāmasundara, Kṛṣṇa, has been imagined by some poet. No. It is described in the śāstra, the form of the Lord. He is busy in playing flute, veṇuṁ kvaṇantam. Aravinda dalāyatākṣaṁ, His eyes are just like petals of the lotus flower. Veṇuṁ kvaṇantam aravinda... barhāvataṁsa, there is a peacock feather on His head."

Initiation Ceremony 2017, Jaipura

IMG_7048.JPG

Initiation Ceremony 2017, March 14

On the most auspicious occasion of Gaura-pūrṇimā, an initiation ceremony was conducted by Hare Krishna Community at Hare Krishna Village, Rajasthan.
Hare Krishna Community has been following the Ritvik system of initiation from the very beginning accepting Śrīla Prabhupāda as the ONLY dīkṣā guru. Śrīla Prabhupāda, in his teachings, especially in his 9th July 1977 letter outlined the Ritvik system of initiation to be carried out in order to accept new disciples after his physical departure from this world.
We accept and follow this Ritvik system of initiation as outlined in the 9th July,  1977 letter addressed to all temple president's and GBC members.
This time we conducted both first (Harināma) and second (Brāhmaṇa) initiation.
12 devotees took first initiation and 8 devotees took second initiation.
His grace Dayālu Nitāi Prabhu, Temple president gave a talk explaining that Śrīla Prabhupāda is our ONLY dīkṣā guru and also about the ten offence

"Because I stick to Krishna's word. I, therefore, present Bhagavad-gita as it is. We do not make any amendment nor accept any amendment. And, therefore, we decry everything—Gandhi, Dr. Radhakrishnan, Aurobindo, this, that—all rascals. Because they tried to amend it. That is admitted by the science professor. They have all tried to make it modernized, but I have not done. Here is the spiritual master in the disciplic succession, so we remain indebted to him to understand the original traditional knowledge."

Krsna's position

Image may contain: 1 person, text
Jagabandhu Paul

Prabhupada: When we speak of Kṛṣṇa, we mean God. Everyone has some vague idea of God, but no clear idea. Therefore God descends to show what He is. If we speculate on God, someone will think one thing and another person will think another. This is the result of speculation. But if God Himself comes and shows Himself as He is and speaks about Himself, that is perfect knowledge. This Kṛṣṇa consciousness movement is spreading that message. God Himself is speaking about Himself: “I am like this; I am like this; My form is like this; My activities are like this; My address is this and that—if you like you can come back to Me. This is the situation. Everyone can come to Me.” All this information is there in Bhagavad-gītā As It Is. In Bhagavad-gītā God speaks about Himself and presents Himself as He is. We have simply to take that information; then we can understand God. As soon as we understand God, we can go home immediately. It is a very simple t

Festival of Jagannatha Misra

Yogpith+%252873%2529.JPG

Jagannatha Misra appeared as the father of Lord Caitanya Mahaprabhu.

SRI CAITANYA BHAGAVATA
Adi Lila Chapter 3.

1. Even before He took his birth, the Lord propagated the chanting of His holy name.
2. Streams of people went for their bath in the Ganga at the time of the eclipse and all the way they chanted the Lord's name.
3. Some, who from their birth never once uttered the Lord's name, now chanted that name on their way to the Ganga.
4. The sound of chanting emanated from every direction and the Supreme Lord, the best of the brahmins, smiled to Himself as He made His appearance.
5. Sri Jagannatha Misra and Srimati Sacidevi glanced at their child's beautiful face and were over come with unbounded joy.
6. Ladies stood around the child not knowing what to do; fussily they ululated in jubilation.
7. Relatives and friends hurried to see the new born child; Sri Jagannatha Misra's house was a scene of great exultation.
8. Srimati Sacidevi's father, Sri Nilambara Cakravarti, found esoteric and wonderfu

Gaura Purnima

   "This account originally appeared in a short work by Srila Bhaktivinoda Thakura entitled, 'Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu: His Life and Precepts.' (dated 20th August 1896.)" This was taken from "Prologue" to "Teachings of Lord Chaitanya" (A.C.Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada. 1974. pages xiii-xxii.) Who better could we find to include here than the pure unalloyed Devotee, and foremost scholar in Vaishnava circles Srila Bhaktivinoda Thakura to perform this task. He starts his essay;

Caitanya Mahaprabhu

Lord Sri Krishna Chaitanya in combined Form of Sri Sri Radha Krishna.

"Chaitanya Mahaprabhu was born in Mayapur in the town of Nadia just after sunset on the evening of the 23rd Phalguna (1407 Sakadba), answering to the 18th of February 1486 of the Christian Era. The moon was eclipsed at the time of His birth, and the people of Nadia were then engaged, as was usual on such occasions, in bathing in the Bhagirathi with loud cheers of Haribol. His father, Jagannatha Misra, a poor 'brahmana' of the Vedic order, and

His ever-fresh beauty enchants the minds of all, set against the cooling greenery and fragrant pastures of Govardhana Hill. They wish to see this beauty again and again. He is so enchanting, everyone is eager to drink more and more of that Divine sight!
And when Radha and friends enter the picture, it is like an overflowing well.

Just like here, the most prominent feature in this material world is sex attraction. So that is there in Krsna. We are worshiping Radha and Krsna, attraction. But that attraction and this attraction is not the same. That is real and here it is unreal. We are also dealing with everything which are present in the spiritual world, but it is only reflection. It has no real value.

Just like in the tailor's shop, sometimes there are so many beautiful dolls, a beautiful girl is standing. But nobody cares to see it. Because everyone knows that, "This is false. However beautiful it may be, it is false." But a living woman, if she is beautiful, so many people see her. Because this is real. This is an example. Here the so-called living is also dead, because the body is matter. It is a lump of matter. As soon as the soul goes away from the same beautiful woman, nobody cares to see her. Because it is as good as the doll on the window of tailor shop.

So real factor is the spirit soul, and

Who can worship Krsna?

No automatic alt text available.

Amit Thakur DasAnudas

Krishna says,
aham sarvasya prabhavo
mattah sarvam pravartate
iti matva bhajante mam
budha bhava-samanvitah
[Bg. 10.8]

Who can worship Krsna? That is described here, that budha. Budha means most intelligent person. Bodha, bodha means knowledge, and budha means one who is wise, full of knowledge. Everyone is after knowledge. Here you have got this Washington University. There are many students. They have come here to acquire knowledge. So one who has acquired the perfection of knowledge or the highest platform of knowledge, he is called budha. So not only budha but bhava-samanvitah. Bhava means ecstasy. One must be very learned and wise, at the same time he must feel ecstasy spiritually. "Such person," Krsna says, iti matva bhajante mam. "Such persons worships Me or loves Me." One who is very intelligent and one who is transcendentally very full of ecstasy, such person loves Krsna or worships Krsna. Why? Because iti matva, "by understanding this." What is this

Srila Prabhupada...."The specific qualification for becoming the representative of the Lord is to be unaffected by the material modes of nature. The highest qualification of a person in the material world is to be a brāhmaṇa. But since a brāhmaṇa is in the mode of goodness, to be a brāhmaṇa is not sufficient for becoming a representative of the Lord. One has to transcend the mode of goodness also and be situated in unalloyed goodness, unaffected by any of the qualities of material nature. This stage of transcendental qualification is called śuddha-sattva, or vasudeva, and in this stage the science of God can be realized. As the Lord is not affected by the modes of material nature, so a pure devotee of the Lord is also not affected by the modes of nature. That is the primary qualification for being one with the Lord. A person who is able to attain this transcendental qualification is called jīvan-mukta, or liberated, even though he is apparently in material conditions. This liberation i

Jaya Radhe Byard

"...unless one is inspired or initiated by the authorized spiritual master."

"Brahmā is undoubtedly the speaker of the Vedic knowledge, but actually he was inspired by the Lord to receive such transcendental knowledge, as it directly descends from the Lord. The Vedas are therefore called apauruṣeya, or not imparted by any created being. Before the creation the Lord was there (nārāyaṇaḥ paro 'vyaktāt), and therefore the words spoken by the Lord are vibrations of transcendental sound. There is a gulf of difference between the two qualities of sound, namely prākṛta and aprākṛta. The physicist can deal only with the prākṛta sound, or sound vibrated in the material sky, and therefore we must know that the Vedic sounds recorded in symbolic expressions cannot be understood by anyone within the universe unless and until one is inspired by the vibration of supernatural (aprākṛta) sound, which descends in the chain of disciplic succession from the Lord to Brahmā, from Brahmā
