So change means imperfect knowledge

Tamohara Dasa's photo.

Srimad Bhagavatam 1.3.15“Advancement means… But we don’t change our Vedic knowledge. We do not say, “Now, Kṛṣṇa, five thousand years ago, said like this. Now we are advanced. We change this line.” Of course, others are doing. In the scriptures… Just like the Christians, they are changing the words. But you cannot do that. Then where is the authority? If you change the word of the scripture, then where is the authority of the scripture? Just like in lawbooks, there is some law made already. Whimsically you cannot, I mean to say, erase the words and put something that “It should be changed like this.” That will not be accepted. Law, if there is change… Actually, there is no change. There cannot be change. Real law means there is no change. Just like day and night, it is coming. The fortnight, the dark period and the light period, it is coming for millions and millions and time immemorial. The same law is going, going on. You cannot change. So as soon as you change, that means it i

Prabhupada: “Similarly, anger can be controlled. We cannot stop anger altogether, but if we simply become angry with those who blaspheme the Lord or the devotees of the Lord, we control our anger in Kṛṣṇa consciousness. Lord Caitanya Mahāprabhu became angry with the miscreant brothers Jagāi and Mādhāi, who blasphemed and struck Nityānanda Prabhu. In His Śikṣāṣṭaka Lord Caitanya wrote, tṛṇād api sunīcena taror api sahiṣṇunā: “One should be humbler than the grass and more tolerant than the tree.” One may then ask why the Lord exhibited His anger. The point is that one should be ready to tolerate all insults to one’s own self, but when Kṛṣṇa or His pure devotee is blasphemed, a genuine devotee becomes angry and acts like fire against the offenders. Krodha, anger, cannot be stopped, but it can be applied rightly. It was in anger that Hanumān set fire to Laṅkā, but he is worshiped as the greatest devotee of Lord Rāmacandra. This means that he utilized his anger in the right way. Arjuna serv

Bhaktisiddhanta Saraswati Thakur

Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Saraswati Thakur

Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Thakura, the guru of Srila A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, appeared in Sri Ksetra Dhama.(Jagannatha Puri) on 6 February 1874 as the son of Srila Sacidananda Bhaktivinoda Thakura. In his childhood he quickly mastered the Vedas, memorized the Bhdgavad-gita, and relished his father's philosophical works. He became known as "The Living Encyclopedia" for his vast knowledge.

He preached convincingly against casteism and philosophical deviations from Gaudiya Vaisnavism. He tried to unite the four Vaisnava sampradayas by publishing their teachings. Srila Sarasvati Thakura earned the title Nrisimha Guru for his fearless and powerful delivery of the Vaisnava siddhanta. Mayavadis would cross the street to avoid confronting the "lion guru." Besides being a courageous preacher, he was ornamented with all divine qualities and full of ecstatic love of God. He established 64 Gaudiya Math temples in India and centers in Bu

Christ Is Our Guru

Devotee: Prabhupada, you have said, “Preaching God’s message is a thankless task.”

Srila Prabhupada: Yes, just look at Jesus Christ—crucified. What was his fault? He was simply teaching God consciousness. Of course, he was not killed. Nobody cankill the Lord’s pure devotee.

Devotee: But ungrateful people tried to.

Srila Prabhupada: Yes. Such a great personality, the son of God. He wanted to deliver God consciousness. And in return, he was crucified. We don’t take Jesus Christ as insignificant. We give him all honor. He is a pure representative of God. Of course, he directed his preaching according to time, place, and circumstance, the era and region and people’s mentality. In any case, he is a pure representative of God.

Devotee: And he was able to do all his preaching in just three years, too.

Srila Prabhupada: He had so little time to preach—but still, what he did in three years is so wonderful.

Translation: "The sixth incarnation of the purusa was the son of the sage Atri. He was born in the womb of Anasuya, who prayed for an incarnation. He spoke on the subject of transcendence to Alarka, Prahlada and others, (Yadu, Haihaya, etc.)."

Prabhupada: Purport?

Pradyumna: "The Lord incarnated Himself as Dattatreya, the son of Rsi Atri and Anasuya. The history of the birth of Dattatreya as an incarnation of the Lord is mentioned in the Brahmanda Purana in connection with the story of the devoted wife. It is said there that Anasuya, the wife of Rsi Atri, prayed before the lords Brahma, Visnu and Siva as follows: ‘My lords, if you are pleased with me and if you desire me to ask from you some sort of blessings, then I pray that you combine together to become my son.' This was accepted by the lords, and as Dattatreya the Lord expounded the philosophy of the spirit soul and especially instructed Alarka, P

Advent of the Srimad Bhagavad Gita

Advent of Srimad Bhagavat Gita

This is the annirversary day commemorating the day that Srimad Bhagavad Gita was spoken by Lord Sri Krishna to His dearmost devotee Arjuna.

At the place now known as Jyotisar Tirtha amid the waring families of the Kurus and the Pandavas at Kurukshetra. If one wishes one can still go and visit that place and see the monument erected there with Krishna as Parthasarati (the chariot driver) and Arjuna the warrior on their chariot. It is claimed by the ashram who maintain the shrine that the tree that is next to Them is a continum growth of the original tree witness that was there at the actual day of speaking.

9468784093?profile=originalSrila Prabhupada: "Don't be disappointed. Kṛṣṇa will act through His movement and kill them, these demons. How it will be done, that you cannot know now, but it will be done. Let us remain true soldiers. That's all. And if it is a fight, suppose we die in the fight. The fight means with vow, with determination either to gain victory or die. Because it is fight against māyā, why we shall be afraid of being killed? Where there is fight, one must know that "Either I am going to be killed or gain victory." Jīvo vā māro vā. Those who are devotees, either they live or they die—the same thing. While they live they are serving Kṛṣṇa; when they die they will serve Kṛṣṇa. Jīvo vā māro vā. Tyaktvā dehaṁ punar janma naiti mām eti (BG 4.9). He goes to Kṛṣṇa. (laughs) So what is the loss? We are working for Kṛṣṇa, and if we die we go to Kṛṣṇa. So what is the loss? Same business." (Evening Darsana. February 15, 1977, Mayapura)

In his purport to Caitanya-caritamrta Adi 17.141, Srila Prabhupada further states:

"In the present day also, people all over the world may join together in the Krsna consciousness movement and protest against the present degraded governments of the world's godless societies, which are based on all kinds of sinful activities. Srimad-Bhagavatam states that in the Age of Kali, thieves, rogues and fourth-class people who have neither education nor culture capture the seats of governments to exploit the citizens. This is a symptom of Kali-yuga that has already appeared. People cannot feel secure about their lives and property, yet the so-called governments continue, and government ministers get fat salaries, although they are unable to do anything good for society. The only remedy for such conditions is to enhance the sankirtana movement under the banner of Krsna consciousness and protest against the sinful activities of all the world's governments.

The Krsna consciousness movement is not

Odana Sasthi

Odana%20Sasti_0010.JPG

At the beginning of winter, there is a ceremony known as the Oòana-ñañöhé. This ceremony indicates that from that day forward, a winter covering should be given to Lord Jagannätha. That covering is directly purchased from a weaver. According to the arcana-märga, a cloth should first be washed to remove all the starch, and then it can be used to cover the Lord. Puëòaréka Vidyänidhi saw that the priest neglected to wash the cloth before covering Lord Jagannätha. Since he wanted to find some fault in the devotees, he became indignant.

Srila Prabhupada briefly described the ritual of Odana Sasthi in his purport to Caitanya-caritamrta, Madhya lila 16-78:

"At the beginning of winter, there is a ceremony known as the Odana-sasthi. This ceremony indicates that from that day forward, a winter covering should be given to Lord Jagannatha. That covering is directly purchased from a weaver. According to the arcana-marga, a cloth should first be washed to remove all the starch, and then it can be used

Bhaktisiddhanta Dasa Speaks Out About ISKCON Fiasco (Classic)

The following has been dictated by Bhaktisiddhanta Dasa ACBSP (disciple of Srila Prabhupada)– who has resided in Sri Vrndavan Dham for the last 34 years, and witnessed the whole fiasco taking place.

Krsnacandra Dasa: Prabhu what can you tell us from your memory of the events that took place around the departure of Srila Prabhupada in 1977.

Bhaktisiddhanta dasa: Yes. I was living in Vrndavan at the time when Srila Prabhupada was leaving and spent my time mainly in his room. What I remember about the ‘big guys’ was that they were running around having very intense private meetings.

It was generally understood that they were making plans for what would happen after Srila Prabhupada passed.

I was in the room when Srila Prabhupada passed and I remember clearly the power that was present everywhere around us. It was as if the Demigods were present at such a great event. The mood built up to an incredible crescendo until the very

Godhead is Form. He is not formless. The formless is a view of the Effulgence radiated by the form. The Effulgence acts as a blinding zone of pure blissful light encircling the Form. This radiated Divine Effulgence has the quality of obscuring the vision of the spiritual Form of the individual soul bound on the quest of the Absolute. Arriving in this zone of light, the seeker is apt to receive the overpowering impression that he has no individual Form of his own and that he is one with the vast undifferentiated Effulgence. He is so fully satisfied in making this discovery that he has no mind to question the legitimacy of his overwhelming satisfaction.

True, the light emitted by the Divine drives away all worldly ignorance and misery and draws the purified soul into itself. It is as if a great light draws to itself one of its own rays gone astray. What happens to the individual ray after it is merged in the great light, is left undescribed. No vocabulary, it is urged, can carr

Tamäla Krsna: Gradually some of the people are beginning to understand what you’re up to, Srila Prabhupäda. Some of these big demons in America especially, they are beginning to understand that you are the most dangerous personality in the world to them.

Prabhupäda: To kill “demon-crazy,” LSD. (laughs) Yes, that is my mission. That is Krsna's mission, pariträëäya sädhünäà vinäçäya ca duñkåtäm [Bg. 4.8], to kill all these demons, crazy demons. I have no such power; otherwise I would have killed them. Either establish Krsna conscious government or kill them—bas, finish. I would have done that, violence.

Tamäla Krsna: Yes, when good argument fails...
Prabhupäda: Kill them. Finish. Just like Parasurama did. Kill all them, twenty-one times.

Bali-mardana: Oh, Parasurama. I was just reading in that...
Prabhupäda: Yes.
Bali-mardana: ...8.3. Very nice.

Prabhupäda: No consideration. Kill them.

if we don't fight to become blissful again as SRI KRSNA  created us, we don't get perfection. then avidya kama karmabhir ignorance to enjoy separately from SRI KRSNA bring the soul in anda kupam tamisrera to the hell.

after the hell come yasya jnaya brahmati sambhrita kalo cakro one has to accept another material body among the 8.400.000 species of life and the last beat up is sahasra yuga paryantam that's: the conditioned soul who did nothing to become free from the attraction of maha maya have to go to sleep for million and millions of years ages etc..

to become perfect means to understand advaita acyuta anadim ananta rupam adyan purana purusam nava yovana ca, all forms of life belong to SRI KRSNA,  and by engaging them in pure bhakti, one can realize it, as our guru maharaj did, by realizing the sublime philosophy of SRI GAURANGA MAHAPRABHU called acintya bheda abheda tattva.

therefore HE became eternal by knowing what belong to SRI KRSNA complet

Srila Prabhupada on the necessity of developing siddha-deha

siddha-dehe cinti' kare tāhāṅñi sevana
sakhī-bhāve pāya rādhā-kṛṣṇera caraṇa

"After thinking of Rādhā and Kṛṣṇa and Their pastimes for a long time and after getting completely free from material contamination, one is transferred to the spiritual world. There the devotee attains an opportunity to serve Rādhā and Kṛṣṇa as one of the gopīs.

PURPORT
Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Ṭhākura comments that the word siddha-deha, "perfected spiritual body," refers to a body beyond the material gross body composed of five elements and the subtle astral body composed of mind, intelligence and false ego. In other words, one attains a completely spiritual body fit to render service to the transcendental couple Rādhā and Kṛṣṇa: sarvopādhi-vinirmuktaṁ tat-paratvena nirmalam.

Srila Prabhupada was a perfect acarya who was concerned with ALL ASPECTS of men's well-being in the world. He was not merely teaching a handful of students how to transcend, he was practical and wished well-being on all levels for all, and intended us to implement his wishes in full; here is some proof; Srila Prabhupada;

"It is not that our Krsna consciousness movement is one of the so many movements. No. It is the only one movement that can give
peace and life and prosperity to the people."

Sound is merely a series of vibrational waves of condensation and rarefication of particles not always even with set-intervals/phases, carried forward by a degree of energy, originating with the source. So even there, we see the basic principle of energy and energetic, and we the jivas experience this subjectively as sound.

Even if the human apparatus is damaged, a hearing aid, for example, can have them hearing once again. So, there is a capacity to sense which seems inherent. Such a capacity, to me, indicates likelihood of a higher or even Supreme source of sound, ie the components are complex and interrelated; capacity sensation energy and energetic. Without taking the whole gestalt into account, you have merely a component. Therefore as there is much extremely organized information involved in "sound", all this suggests purpose and meaning, the value of relationship(s)

Our spirtual masters say, by sound, we can achieve liberation. Chant Hare Krsna, please, and be happy.

A Physiologic Consideration in the Practise of Nama-Japa Aloud versus In-the-mind only. ;

Certainly, in terms of brain structures, the language processing is going in both cases, and it may be that much higher imagining and even soul transfer ultimately also do go on via the pure mana-mandira, temple of the mind, still, only when speaking and hearing are the muscles, spinal / cranial nerves both sending and receiving, energy-delivering systems going, respiration patterns carry on, connections between sound and sensation and speaking centres occurr, seven levels of inner ear neurons and processors act, and full integration and comprehension capacites are actively involved.

The brain is plastic in many ways, and will grow and expand to specialize in the daily tasks; so over time, one becomes an athlete physically as well as by intent, of the chanting processes.

When we add the sense of touch and counting the rounds, that is another layer of actual physical involvement that alt

Srila Sharanga Thakura Disappearance

An important branch of the Shri Chaitanya tree, Shri Sharanga Thakura (Sharanga Murari) lived in Mamagacchi, Modadrumadwipa (Navadwipa). Staying under a Bakula tree, Sharanga Thakura worked hard every day to please his worshipable Deity. Single handedly, he would collect fruits, vegetables and firewood. He would also beg rice, cook, bathe, dress, and feed his Lord. After a full day of Deity service Sharanga would cross the Ganges River to join Mahaprabhu's Hari-Nama sankirtana party in Mayapur. During one visit, Lord Gauranga noticed that Sharanga's beloved Bakula tree was drying up and almost dead. Lord Chaitanya embraced the tree with His beautiful golden arms. Completely rejunvenated, the tree burst forth with green leaves and fresh super fragrant flowers. To this day, Devotees of Shri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu worship this special kalpa vriksha tree of Shri Dhama Mayapur. Some Devotees collect small pieces of wood, which occasionally fall off, and make neckbeads or worship it.

Srila Kaliya Krishna Dasa Disappearance

"One will surely attain Shri Chaitanya and Shri Nityananda simply by remembering Kaliya Krishna Dasa." (Chaitanya Bhagavata) Completely devoted to Lord Nityananda, Kaliya Krishna Dasa knew nothing but the lotus feet of Nitai.

His birthplace is in the Bardhaman (Burdwan) district of West Bengal within a short distance from the Railway station at Katwa, at the village called Akai Hatta. This village is situated on the old king's road between Navadwipa and Katwa. Akai Hatta is a very small village.

On the twelfth day of the dark moon in the month of Chaitra, Shri Kaliya Krishna Dasa Thakura disappeared. He left his body while doing bhajana in Vrindavana.

This is not the same Kaliya Krishna dasa who accompanied Shri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu to South India.

At present, Kaliya Krishnadas's descendents live in different holy places in Bengal.

In Vraja lila he is Labanga, a cowherd boyfriend of Krishna-Balarama.
