Dear Maharajas and Prabhus,

Please accept my humble obeisances at your feet. Recently when all of the GBC members were with His Divine Grace in Vrndavana, Srila Prabhupada indicated that soon He would appoint some of His senior disciples to act as ritvik - representative of the acarya, for the purpose of performing initiations, both first initiation and second initiation. His Divine Grace has so far given a list of eleven disciples who will act in that capacity:

A devotee said; - Hare Krsna. Been just reading about Prabhupad's poisoning just minutes before you posted that message. Gives me an eerie feeling about my own place within the society. Being just a simple bhakta, without guidance makes me feel adrift trying to navigate the darkness left behind after the infiltration and hijacking of the movement. I really don't know what to say other than give my best wishes during this degrading period. Can the movement be saved or is it just best to focus on satisfying Krishna and just pray that he can deliver us across this hoofprint we call an ocean of suffering?

"I am very pleased that you have gone to that place simply on my order, alone, to preach the message of Lord Caitanya. I like this kind of spirit in you very much. You know I went to your country also alone, in old age, because of the order given to me by my spiritual master. So I get great pleasure when I see my own disciples from America going to far off places leaving their rich nation with all facilities and their families, to preach. The secret of success in spiritual life is to satisfy one's spiritual master. This is the essence. You have captured this. So now go on in this way and do not falter. Follow the regulative principles and devotional practices I have given you. This will keep you fit. Be patient and determined, and ask everyone you meet to please chant Hare Krsna."
